Weekends in São Paulo Belong to the Beach 🏝️

"Brazilian always love beach!" 🌊🇧🇷 Almost every local I’ve met has told me this—you can feel their deep passion for the coast. And honestly, their beaches are stunning! ❤️ 🗺️ Location: Barra do Una – The first beach I visited here, recommended by a local colleague. Less crowded, breathtaking views, and pure fun! 🚗 Getting there: A 2.5-hour drive from São Paulo. We left at 8 AM, arrived by 11 AM, and headed back at 6 PM. Returned the car and got to the hotel by 10 PM. Tiring? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. ✅ 🚗 Car Rental: Chinese driver’s license + business visa works! Rented from Localiza (24/7 service, pickup/drop-off near the city airport). Cost: ~R$600 for the day. 🍴 Restaurant: Giselle Restaurante e Bar (another local rec!). Right by the water, delicious food, and an unreal sunset view from the terrace. 🍹🌅 Bonus: Restrooms and showers available! ⛵️ Activities: Speedboat tour (3 islands, 3 hours, R$450/person – too pricey for us). Boat + inflatable kayak (R$80/person, 1.5–2 hours, 1 island). The boat tows the kayak—you’ll bounce on the waves with just a life vest and white-knuckled grip! 🚤💦 Thrilling but risky. Pro tip: I rode the boat out and kayaked back. Boat = chill, kayak = adrenaline. Colleagues loved the kayak’s intensity though! 📌 Must-Pack: ✅ Swimsuit – Even in winter, some brave the water. Plus, beach + swimwear = perfect pics! 👙📸 ✅ Sunscreen gear – Reapply constantly. Hat, sunglasses, and yes, I rocked an umbrella (weirdly comfy). ☀️🕶️ ✅ Spare clothes – Kayaking = soaked. Dry clothes = happiness. #ThisIsWhyWeTravel #Brazil #SaoPaulo #BeachGetaway #ExpatLife #WorkingAbroad #BrazilianBeaches
