Went to Marina del Rey for some beach photos 📸 Checked Yelp and found this nearby Japanese restaurant Omakase for just 90pp?? 😍 I rushed over immediately! I got a table on a weekend afternoon, but it was packed by evening. As soon as you enter, you have to take off your shoes—it's tatami seating, and the experience is on point! 🌟 ▫️ Omakase Set Includes 5 pieces of sashimi, 9 pieces of sushi, miso soup, handroll, and matcha ice cream 🍨 . The daily menu changes. Today, we had bluefin tuna, trout, golden eye snapper, flounder, scallops, mackerel, sea urchin, eel, and tamago. 😍 Each piece was delicious and fresh. The sushi rice is made with red vinegar—something that sets it apart from other places. ▫️ Uni Toast The sea urchin was so sweet, topped with caviar and served on a base of scrambled eggs + toast 🥪. ▫️ Salmon Blue Crab This is a rice-less sushi roll with salmon on the outside and crab meat + avocado inside. ▫️ Toro Uni Donburi Toro and sea urchin bowl, wrapped in nori. I'm still dreaming about that sea urchin! 🦀 The total came to 💰180. When ordering, I found out that from Monday to Friday, there's a sushi set with 10 pieces for just 33🔪 during lunch! What a steal! But it's limited daily, so I'll have to come back on a weekday.
