One month into the semester, and I’m still discovering new corners of this wild, creative universe! A Typical Week at DAE 📅 Non-stop workshops: From woodworking 🪵 and metal casting ⚙️ to ceramics 🏺, 3D printing 🖨️, and plastic molding 🧪—every material is fair game. Packed schedule: Classes from Monday to Friday, with a mix of group projects 👥 and solo deep dives 🧠. No dull moments: One day you’re welding, the next you’re coding interactive installations. The DAE Mindset 💡 "Brainstorming on steroids": Every project pushes you to think beyond norms—expect weird, wonderful, and sometimes WTF ideas 🤯. Breaking rules is the rule: Traditional design? Nah. Here, conceptual, experimental, and socially driven work takes center stage Fail fast, learn faster: Prototypes flop? Great—now iterate! DAE thrives on trial, error, and radical creativity The Vibe 🌈 No hierarchy, just chaos (the good kind): Teachers treat you like fellow designers, not students. No hand-holding—just "What’s YOUR vision?" 🚀 Global creative hub: Students from 30+ countries bring wildly different perspectives. Collaboration = constant inspiration 🌍. Eindhoven’s energy: The city itself is a design playground, from Dutch Design Week to repurposed Philips factories Real Talk 🎤 Not for the faint-hearted: The workload is intense, critiques are brutally honest, and the pressure to innovate is real.
