🛶 What do Iga Funaya look like? 🥹

I went to Iga Funaya to see the boat houses, but due to limited time and the rain starting, I didn't get to explore the town much. I took a sightseeing boat to tour Iga Bay and then left. However, after the boat ride, I felt that compared to seeing the boat houses up close in the town, viewing them from the sea might be a better way. Especially because one highlight of the boat ride is the seagulls🐦. There are really, really too many of them here. From the start, a flock of seagulls followed the boat the whole way. It even felt like everyone was taking pictures of the seagulls, and no one was looking at the boat houses anymore. If you want to feed the seagulls, you can buy their favorite fries🍟 at the place where you board the boat for 100 yen a bag. Then be careful because there might be eagles🦅 mixed in with the seagulls, and they might come to snatch food right from your hand. There are two types of sightseeing boats. One is a large sightseeing boat⛴️, where you buy tickets and board at Sunrise Station. The fare is 1200 yen for adults (13 years old and above) and 600 yen for children (6 to 12 years old). The departure time is 9:00 AM, with a boat every 30 minutes, and the last one is at 16:00. It takes about 25 minutes for a full loop. 📍Sunrise Station: 11 Toji, Iga, Nada District, Kyoto Prefecture The other type is a small boat🚤, where local boatmen take their own boats, tour Iga Bay for 30 minutes with tourists, and provide explanations. The fare is 1000 yen for adults. Because the boat is small, it can get very close to the boat houses. But since it's individually operated, some require reservations, and it might be difficult to communicate if you don't speak Japanese, and you probably won't understand the explanations either, so it's still recommended to take the large sightseeing boat. #JapanTravel #JapanTrip #Japan #IgaFunaya #Iga #KyotoTravel
