What to Eat in St. Louis No.3|Spanish Cuisine 🇪🇸 Bar Moro
My friend and I spontaneously decided to try Bar Moro for dinner, and it turned out to be such a delightful experience! 😍 Although reservations are recommended, we managed to book a table just that afternoon. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating—outside with cozy fire pits🔥, and inside with an intimate, warm ambiance✨. It was a packed house on Friday night, filled mostly with locals! For starters, we ordered the Baccala based on online reviews—grilled garlic bread served with codfish and potato purée🧄🐟. The bread was crispy, and the creamy cod spread was simply delicious! The main course, steak, was absolutely breathtaking!🥩 The meat was tender, rich with marbled flavor, and honestly now ranks as my top steak ever🏆! The sauce at the bottom of the plate had a subtle garlic note that complemented without overpowering—everything was in perfect harmony. Dessert was something between a Basque cake and a custard pudding🍮, with a refreshing hint of lemon🍋—a perfect ending to the meal. Before coming abroad, I always thought Western food wasn’t that great…but now I realize I just hadn’t tried the good stuff!🤯 Good food truly has no borders~ We ordered two glasses of wine🍷, and with tip, it came to around $100 per person💵, but the quality fully justified the price! I’d definitely come back again. The restaurant is located in Clayton—just a ten-minute walk from the Clayton metro station🚇. By the way, their restroom is gorgeous!💖 The whole place has such a cool, understated vibe. Too bad we came on a whim—I wasn’t dressed up and didn’t take any photos.
