▶️Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site This is where Theodore Roosevelt was sworn in for his first term as president. ✅The inauguration took place in a library owned by one of Roosevelt’s wealthy 19th-century lawyer friends. The library is beautifully preserved. ✅After the ceremony, Roosevelt went upstairs to meet with his cabinet, and the desk he used for writing remains on display. ⭐The site features numerous interactive digital exhibits—more than I’ve ever seen in a historic place. These displays introduce other historical figures connected to Roosevelt and explain his political philosophy. ⭐The guided tour here is uniquely immersive. The interpreters transport visitors back to 1901, and even role-play as people present at the event, engaging in dialogues with themselves to recreate the atmosphere of the time. ⌚️ After the tour, I made sure to try ice cream from Lake Effect Ice Cream—absolutely delicious with surprisingly amazing flavors! #USTravel #Buffalo #AmericanHistory
