Where to Stay in Tokyo Flash Trip(2)
βοΈ Based on Friends' Experiences (So Many People Have Tried It!), rooms are super hard to find during the snow season. π¨οΈ π£ Saturday Night - The Old - Money Charm of Akasaka and the New - Money Flair of Gallery Hotel Otsuka I found this hotel on Marriott Bonvoy and booked it immediately when I saw the amazing corporate rate. π¨ βοΈ I initially thought the style would be a bit old - fashioned (similar to those classic Japanese hotels like the Imperial or the Okura), but the hotel's interior and exterior have been completely renovated. Many details are full of clever touches. π βοΈ The hotel is located in Tokyo Garden Terrace Kioicho, which is filled with modern art installations. On the first floor, there's a historical building called the "Former Li Royal Family's Tokyo Residence." I read some gossip on the official website: it was originally the residence of the Kitashirakawa family during the Meiji period (three generations met with accidents, including malaria and traffic accidents). Later, it became a temporary residence for the Korean royal family after Japan annexed Korea. The feng shui doesn't seem too great, does it? π #Tokyo π #TokyoGardenTerraceKioicho π
