Why Must It Be Edinburgh for a City Walk? 🎈

Because of Edinburgh’s romantic charm 💕 Because of Edinburgh’s timeless beauty 🏰 Strolling through this historic city, you’ll feel the rhythm of day and night, the shift of seasons. 🌄🍂 🎈 Here’s my favorite half-day City Walk route: Royal Mile → Edinburgh Castle → Princes Street Gardens → Scott Monument & Waverley Bridge → Calton Hill (for sunset!) 🌼 Start at the Royal Mile – the most medieval-feeling street, lined with historic buildings, traditional shops, and often street performances or art displays. You might even spot an owl posing for photos (for a small fee)! 🦉 🌼 Walk to Edinburgh Castle, perched 135m high on Castle Rock. With cliffs on three sides, it offers sweeping city views. Even if you don’t go in, just sitting on a bench in Princes Street Gardens with a coffee is pure bliss. ☕💨 🌼 Near the gardens, don’t miss the Scott Monument & Waverley Bridge – a super photogenic spot (you’ve probably seen it all over social media!). Just watch out for traffic when snapping pics! 📸🚗 🌼 End at Calton Hill, one of the best sunset spots in Edinburgh! 🌅 In summer, head up around 9 PM—it’s just a 10-minute walk to the top, where you’ll see the skyline, coastline, and golden light bathing the city. Pure magic! ✨ #UK #TravelUK #EdinburghWalks #EdinburghLife #NorthernEngland #TravelDiaries #QuaintTowns
