Wisteria Waterfall at the Great Mosque of Paris
🌟I've never seen wisteria bloom so beautifully—like a waterfall of soft purple, cascading from the sky, with no beginning or end. Just layers of deep and light purple, as if flowing, laughing, and growing endlessly. — Zong Pu, The Wisteria Waterfall 🌟In the spring of 2024, I met with friends at the Great Mosque of Paris to admire the wisteria blooms. April’s weather was still a bit chilly, with sunshine and light rain taking turns, but that didn’t dampen our anticipation for spring’s beauty. 🌟Located in the 5th arrondissement, the Great Mosque of Paris has an entrance fee of €3. It was built in the Mudéjar style by over a dozen designers, who took four years to complete it (1922-1924). The architectural patterns are mostly geometric, combining shapes like quadrilaterals and octagons, in hues of blue, green, white, and brown. The mosque’s layout is rectangular, with gardens surrounding it on all sides. 🌟The largest garden is in front of the main entrance, where spring is in full bloom. Here, the wisteria dangles like clusters of purple droplets, creating a waterfall-like effect against the lush green leaves. 🌟Walking through, you can catch a subtle whiff of wisteria fragrance in the air—soft and understated. Smiling faces fill the garden, capturing the moment with the sound of camera shutters, as everyone welcomes the arrival of spring. 🌟Spring waits for no one; each year is a once-in-a-lifetime chance. 🌸 #ParisLife #SpringInParis #GreatMosqueOfParis #WisteriaWaterfall #SpringVibes
