Worth-trying Georgian Cuisine! 💯
I tried a new Georgian restaurant! I went there to compare it with Kinza, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Georgian cuisine truly is the gem of the Caucasus. Highly recommended! Go and try it now! · 🦐 Garnelen Chinkali (Shrimp Chinkali) A classic Georgian dish, Chinkali is like a dumpling. The shrimp pieces are huge, with several chunks in each dumpling. Inside is a flowing thyme + dill cream sauce—super rich and creamy! The sauce is so delicious, with a smooth texture. It's the best dish of the meal! 🧀 Chatschapuri with Imeruli Cheese Another must-try classic! The Imeruli cheese is melty and rich, topped with a raw egg and a piece of butter, which the waiter will mix for you. The bread is soft and chewy, perfect for carb lovers. Eating it hot is incredibly satisfying! 🥦 Roasted Cauliflower The cauliflower is roasted to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's served with truffle garlic sauce, which is very aromatic. The sauce made from Beluga lentils and vegan almond cheese is quite unique! (But if you taste carefully, you might detect a hint of fish mint, which is similar to the taste of fish. If you've never tried fish, give it a shot.) The dish has rich textures, and the pomegranate seeds add a nice touch. 🍢 Mzwadi Chicken Skewers The chicken is roasted to be crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's served as a whole skewer and is not dry at all. The accompanying roasted potatoes and bell peppers are also delicious. I wish there were more bell peppers. The pickled onions, which resemble shredded radish, are great for cutting the richness. 🍗 Roasted Chicken "Tapaka" The garlic-marinated chicken has a crispy skin, but the inside is not as juicy as the chicken skewers. It's a bit dry and not very flavorful. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick the skewers. 🍰 Napoleon Cake Skip it. Try it somewhere else. · Georgian cuisine often uses thyme, dill, garlic, and other herbs. The aroma is rich but not overpowering, perfectly complementing the natural flavors of the ingredients. 😎 I also ordered a homemade drink, which, as expected, was Georgian tarragon-flavored sparkling water. With my previous experience at Kinza, I was able to tolerate it a bit more this time. 😂 The male waiter's attitude was quite indifferent. He didn't seem very friendly throughout the meal. But in Germany, where service is often lacking, I really don't mind. 🍗🧀 Sara & Gogi Average cost: 30 euros 📍 Restaurant Sara & Gogi (Charlottenburg) Suarezstraße 20, 14057 Berlin #BerlinDiary #BerlinDaily #GeorgianCuisine #CaucasianFood #RestaurantReview #FoodieVillageContest #EuroAustralianBay
