Xin Fu Yuan Northeastern Chinese Restaurant in Pittsburgh
SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD!!! 👏👏👏 Definitely not one of those sponsored Pittsburgh food ads—y’all know what I mean 😉 You can trust this review! ❤️ They just opened a month ago, and the uncle and auntie working there are super warm and welcoming! 🥰 Every dish we ordered was delicious—no disappointments at all! As a northeastern Chinese who hasn’t been home in a long time, I was genuinely surprised and satisfied 🥹 The grilled lamb skewers and chicken skeleton are amazing—the chicken skeleton is sweet and savory, just like the ones back home. The green pepper with dried tofu is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE 😭 It tastes almost identical to what I had in Northeast China! The “One Pot Wonder” (Yī Guō Chū) is also fantastic—it’s made with beans, pumpkin, and sticky corn!! I haven’t had sticky corn in such a long time 🥺 It comes with cornbread pancakes, and originally there were three, but we added an extra order and ended up eating seven… so filling and satisfying! 😋 And let’s not even get started on the braised pork spine—it’s a Northeastern specialty, so fragrant and tender! 🍖🔥 The shumai and dumplings are also delicious! Made fresh in the shop. The chive and shrimp dumplings taste just like home—each one is stuffed with whole, juicy shrimp 🦐🥟 Basically—highly recommend! ✅ Address: 2209 Murray Ave #NortheasternChineseFood #PittsburghLife #PittsburghFood #InternationalStudents
