Yosemite National Park

🏞️Located about 260 kilometers east of San Francisco, Yosemite is home to some of the most iconic geological formations in the world. Interestingly, it shares a sister-park relationship with China’s Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), as both boast breathtaking granite peaks and mystical cloudscapes. 🌄 El Capitan Rising over 900 meters, El Capitan is the largest single granite rock on Earth. Its name comes from an Indigenous word meaning “the chief.” This majestic monolith is a holy grail for rock climbers—remember Alex Honnold’s stunning free solo ascent in 2017? He reached the top in just 3 hours and 56 minutes—without ropes! ⛰️ Half Dome Standing nearly 2,700 meters tall, Half Dome is one of Yosemite’s most recognizable landmarks. Its sheer Northwest Face inspired the logo of the famous outdoor brand The North Face. A true symbol of wilderness and adventure! 💦 Yosemite Falls As the tallest waterfall in North America and the sixth highest in the world, Yosemite Falls plunges 740 meters in three dramatic stages. The Upper Yosemite Fall Trail stretches 6.6 miles—highly recommended in spring. If you’re not up for the full climb, head to “Oh My Gosh Point” for epic views of the upper falls. 🌫️ Mist Trail This iconic trail passes two magnificent waterfalls: Vernal Fall and Nevada Fall. Hike 1.5 miles to Vernal Fall—often crowned with a dazzling double rainbow🌈. The full hike to Nevada Fall is 3.4 miles, but turning back after Vernal Fall is totally okay if you’re short on energy! 🖼️ Tunnel View You’ve probably seen this view on a Mac wallpaper! From here, you can take in El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Fall all in one majestic panorama. 🌅 Glacier Point For unforgettable views of Half Dome, Yosemite Valley, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, and Yosemite Falls, head to Glacier Point. It’s also one of the most famous sunset spots in the park. 👰 Bridalveil Fall Trail This 188-meter waterfall gets its name from the misty veil that floats gently in the wind—just like a bride’s veil. 📅 Ideal Two-Day Plan: Day 1: Hike the Mist Trail early in the morningWatch sunset at Glacier Point Day 2: Conquer the Upper Yosemite Fall Trail (at least to Oh My Gosh Point!) If you have extra time, don’t miss: Tunnel View Bridalveil Fall Trail Yosemite isn’t just a park—it’s an experience. Whether you’re chasing waterfalls, summits, or quiet moments in nature, this place delivers magic at every turn. #US #CA #Sonoma
