You Can Also Watch the Sunset Here! ๐โจ
That's rightโit's the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building! ๐๏ธ ๐โจ Most times I visit Shinjuku, I usually exit from the east or west side of the station to go shopping or to the stores. The neon lights along the streets seem to engulf every corner here. In my mind, it's like a huge pedestrian mall, a bit dirty and a bit chaotic. ๐๏ธ But if you head to Nishi-Shinjuku, you'll get this feeling of "Wow, Shinjuku actually has a place like this?" I call it stepping into the heart of the city. ๐โจThere are fewer people, the streets are clean, and the overall vibe feels like you're in Minato-ku. ๐ฟ The most eye-catching building in this area is the Metropolitan Government Building, which I think has one of the coolest designs. You can go up to the top floor for free, no reservation needed. In the observation hall on the top floor, there's a piano designed by Yayoi Kusama. ๐๏ธ You can play it spontaneously, and quite a few people queue up to take turns. No matter how well you play, you'll get applause! ๐นโจ ๐โจCompared to the more famous Shibuya Sky, Tokyo Tower, and Skytree in Japan, this place is also a great spot to watch the sunset. Even if you don't go up, just walking around the nearby parks and streets is very pleasant! ๐ #Tokyo #Sunset #TokyoMetropolitanGovernmentBuilding ๐โจ
