You MUST Road Trip in Hulunbuir! (I'm Obsessed! 🚗💨)
Even though the itinerary looks packed, driving here is effortless—each leg is under 2.5 hours, and the roads are smooth with endless grasslands and dense forests. 🌿🛣️ 📍 Nanjing ✈️ Hailar Landed in Hailar and devoured steamed shaomai (dumplings) and lamb organ soup—SO delicious! Rented a car via Shenzhou Auto and kicked off the Hulunbuir loop! Day 1 📍 Hailar 🚗 Morigele River Erguna River Skipped the crowded viewpoint—navigated directly to Tuga Camp 🗺️. Bought a meal package (food was meh 😅) for access to Qushui Yuntian Scenic Spot. The real gem? Climbing up for epic views! Planned sunset at Erguna, but thunderstorms rolled in 🌩️... Still, we caught a RAINBOW! 🌈 Dinner: Erguna’s BBQ is a steal—tasty & cheap compared to later stops! Stay: Erguna Day 2 📍 Erguna 🚗 Birch Forest 🚗 Dierbul Xing'an Reindeer Park 🚗 Moerdaoga Town Birch Forest Scenic Area: Skip it! 🚫 Plenty of wild birch forests along the road—just as stunning! Xing'an Reindeer Park: Worth it! 🦌🌲 Few crowds, tons of sika deer & reindeer, and surreal scenery. BUT: The drive from Birch Forest to the park has ROUGH roads—yet the highway stretch was the trip’s highlight! 🤯 Imagine how magical it’d be in autumn... 🍂 Stay: Moerdaoga Town (basic but cozy B&Bs). Day 3 📍 Moerdaoga National Forest Park 🚗 Shiwei 🚗 Enhe Moerdaoga Park: Offers a tourist train, but we drove instead. Some stops were pretty, though not as jaw-dropping as that highway view. Maybe better in fall? 🍁 Shiwei: Saw the China-Russia border, but rain ruined the vibe ☔. A bit touristy, but I’ve seen worse! Enhe: Packed with visitors but charming. Loved strolling the village—grasslands right outside our door! 🏡 Stay: Enhe. Our B&B host was sweet—gave us watermelon 🍉, lent us bikes, and gifted homemade Russian bread (lieba)! 🥖 💡 Pro Tips: ✅ Skip paid "scenic areas"—nature’s best sights are FREE! ✅ Autumn might be even prettier—those golden forests! 🎨 ✅ Enhe’s slow pace is perfect—rent bikes and explore! 🚲 #Hulunbuir #Erguna #InnerMongolia 🇨🇳✨
