Zanzibar’s ONLY Chinese Restaurant 🥢 A Taste of Home

On this small-but-not-that-small island, there’s just one Chinese restaurant—and for us expats, it’s a little slice of home! 🥲🇨🇳 I visited twice, and while not every dish was perfect, a few truly blew me away! 👏 👍 MUST-ORDER 🦀 Spicy Chili Crab – Huge, fresh, and cheap! The sauce was fragrant, numbing, and packed with flavor. We got a large plate, and even three people couldn’t finish it! 😂 🥩 Beef & Potato Stew – Tanzanian beef is affordable and tender. The chunks were so soft, almost melting—ironically, there was more beef than potatoes! 🤣 👎 SKIP THIS 🐔 Shredded Chicken – Bland and texture-less, like boiled chicken with salt 🥱 (probably due to limited spices). WHY GO? Chinese locals often host dinners here. Tourists craving home flavors flock here too.
