Zojo ji Temple
On the last day in Tokyo, we decided to explore the area around our hotel. The first place we visited was Zojoji Temple, a favorite spot for many people to capture stunning photos of the Tokyo Tower 🗼. 🏯🌸 The temple itself serves as the mausoleum of the Tokugawa family, and parts of it remain off-limits to visitors. When we arrived early in the morning, the main hall was filled with monks chanting sutras, creating a truly solemn atmosphere 🧘♂️. The temple doors clearly stated that photography was prohibited, but some visitors still tried to take photos, only to be stopped by a local woman. 🏯🌸 Inside the temple grounds, there is also a nunnery, and the entrance sign indicates that visitors can take tea ceremony classes there 🍵. Statues adorned with red hats and small windmills in front of them are specifically for blessings related to children. Devotees can donate red hats and windmills as offerings. The temple's garden is lush and green, featuring bamboo groves and winding bridges. 🏯🌸 However, due to its relatively small size, it doesn't offer the same level of detail as other larger gardens. Still, it's a peaceful and beautiful spot to visit 🌿🍃. #ZojojiTemple 🌇
