Barnacle Bill — Restaurant in Adelaide

Will not be visiting this place again, once loved, but after tonight's performance by the manager... I am rather dissapointed to say the least. We placed a phone order, collect our order and get home to find we were given the wrong meal, prawns instead of calamari, I don't eat prawn, I was by my partner when he placed the order, I know what was ordered. The manager straight up lied and claimed we'd ordered prawns... if this wasn't bad enough, he sent us away with the same fish and chips, now cold, and the calamari, after failing to properly take and make our order, he failed to take responsibility and replace our order, stating he couldn't.... just added the calamari to our now cold meal....

My wife and I have had lunch here a number of times. Obviously we have always been satisfied or we would not have been going back. Today when we walked in we noticed there had been a few changes. New tables and chairs, fresh paint, all very nice. We ordered and sat down, very comfortable, looking forward to enjoying a meal, (prawns, calamari chips and salad). Sorry but did not happen. Wooden knives and forks!!! Wooden fork tines are not sharp enough to pierce and hold soggy chips. Wooden knife was not sharp enough to cut prawns or calamari cleanly. I realise that things have changed over the last 12 months or so but please ensure your old standards are...

First of all when i walked in the restaurant it smelled it had a bad smell like something was rotten and there was still food on the plates the food was not the best the chips were uncooked and the fish was raw aswell the service was terrible i asked some to help me his name was asher becker i asked him if he could go get me a coke he went to get it but he never came back i asked him if he could get me a coke again he didnt answer and walked off then i just got up and left. for anyone thinking to come here pls dont i would rather eat at a dairy then eating here i do not...
