Mio Piatto — Restaurant in Adelaide

We knew the place before, called Cafe Latino. It was very messy, dark and did not look inviting. Old chairs and old tables. Children play area and a dirty 2 person settee. Very confusing place and the food was not that great.

The new owners have totally revamped the place. It is now clear, uncluttered, looking more spacious and very clean. Because Covid-19 situation, no sitting in the place, but I saw new chairs and tables stacked on the side. The irrelevant areas have been discarded finally.

We ordered a sample of different food, which was fresh and very tasty. Burgers, Arancini, Salad and Soup.

The owner told me it is more a Mediterranean than Italian restaurant. Don't expect to see the entire range of pasta with different sauces. I saw only a couple on the menu. The owner told me the menu does change frequently.

On the current menu, the dishes are between $15 and $25. this is in the high range for a take away and the type of food in my opinion.

Absolutely loved being here today! The food is spectacular. The menu options are amazing and varied and they cater for everyone! There is so much heart and soul put into every detail of the food, the atmosphere and the service. It feels personal to the owners and the staff, and this translates into beautiful food, beautiful presentation, lovely atmosphere and a huge amount of care put into this cafe experience. I love that you are made to feel so welcome and appreciated as a customer, and that you would start to feel like a friend in a very short space of time here. The owners and staff are warm, friendly and ever-willing to interact and offer a smile at any moment.

The food choices my only “issue” — I just want to have them all! Maybe I’ll have to try a different one every visit until I have made my way through the entire menu!

2021: Incredible food! I went with high expectations having heard this place is awesome, and they were more than met. I had a dirty chai and big brekkie and they were both fantastic. I would say my favourite brekkie in Adelaide. The service was amazing, Amanda is so lovely, and the vibe is friendly and welcoming. Really great little spot next to the train line, easy to find a park (at least on a weekday). Will definitely be returning.
