Unbelievably good food from an unbelievably friendly chef! Sarj is an absolute genius in the kitchen, her passion is infectious and you can taste the love in every bite. I tried a few things and they were all spectacular: the vegan sausage roll was better than any meat-based sausage roll I’ve eaten in my life, the curry puffs were light and flakey and rich all at the same time, and the donuts.... my god, the donuts....

Seriously, I’m still chewing as I type this. This food is so good I felt like I had to shout it from the rooftops as quickly as possible so that the whole world would get to experience the sheer joy of Sarj’s home made recipes.

Sarj is one of the loveliest warmest people you’ll meet. It genuinely feels like your eating in her kitchen at home and are made so welcome. Her food is full of flavour and you won’t leave hungry! She sells completely vegan food and it’s always cooked fresh, honestly it’s the best. I was only in Adelaide for 3 days and I went back twice. The best time to go is not during peak hours so you can have a little chat while she cooks your food. The past year and a bit has hit them hard just like a lot of small businesses, definitely go and check them out and show some support. Can’t wait to come...

Now, if you haven’t heard of simply Sarge, you hadn’t been in Adelaide. This place is a hidden gem. It’s down Franklin Street in a little place called a joinery. Auntie Sarj and her husband offer amazing service and delicious food. The company is great and it really feels like I’m walking into someone’s home and being catered for in such great and amazing hospitality. Try the mee goreng or the amazing roti it’s really really just the best roti I’ve ever had. Ok enough if this, head down there soon to try their yummy food.
