Wong Hawker's Food — Restaurant in Bentley

Ok it's been a long time since I've been moved enough to write a review. If you bother to look at my previous reviews they are all positive; this is the first time I've ever written a negative review. The staff was very friendly so I hope they take this as a constructive criticism. I ordered 4 dishes: Seafood Laksa, Seafood fried Ho Fun, Beef Fried KweyTeo and Braised Beef Brisket with dry egg noodles. Ok So let's start by saying, I gave serious thought to how bad it would have to be to deserve only 1 star, and the primary driver is of course taste. Nothing tasted terrible, but by the same token nothing tasted better than if I had just gone to Coles and bought myself cup Ramen, in fact, not to be nasty, but I've had better cup Ramen. I think the biggest shock was when the food was plated up (removed from the plastic containers) the first thing everyone noticed was the red cabbage in the Ho Fun (seriously... why?), this was quickly followed by the realisation that the Ho Fun and Kwey Teo looked like they were made with leftovers. Final thing I will add that was to me overall the most disappointing part of the meal, the Beef Brisket was like chewing on leather. Seriously, I can't comprehend how you even achieve that consistency with a brisket unless you've boiled the absolute bejeezus out of it. If you are the owner of this business, for your own sake, I hope you up your game, but if I'm being honest, this first try was bad enough that I will not be back...

If you want to enjoy dinner with a bully and have your meal ruined by a bunch of idiots, feel free to go directly to Wongs @ Bentley. Do not pass go.

Our decent experience turned into a disaster during dinner at Wongs Hawker in Bentley. Food was actually alright. Whilst we were eating, the cook walked past us and decided to disturb our young toddler. He pretended to take our son's food from him, long enough to make him tear up. Then he came back with a toy as if to make amends only to take his food away again and made my son cry again!! I told the cook enough was enough. My son was crying so hard and he eventually vomited. The staff there were utterly useless! Just looked confused and worried. We had to finish our meal abruptly and clean up our son. I had to ask them for more cloth or paper towel to clean up the mess! We then went to pay for the food with our vomit soaking son and ourselves. The lady apologised but I don't think she fully understood what was happening. We told her we couldn't eat anymore and had to leave. My husband barely had his food! She said she'd give us a discount then of $8. We didn't care and said fine. She then proceeded to punch in the full amount on her eftpos machine. I stopped my husband from paying and she quickly changed it. We really shouldn't have had to pay a cent! We couldn't eat and our meal was ruined because the cook thought it was was appropriate to tease a 23 month old toddler even after...

I ordered from delivaro and my food contained potatoes after it strickly said no vegetables now I got really sick as it had potatoes I won't order that ever again don't think I'll be eating out for a while I usually have the same meal I never got effected been to toilet over 6 times not feeling good at all can't believe this has happen to me I had not eaten anything else yesterday as I had eaten only there food yesterday and I can't sleep cause I ended up with fever and vomit and loose tummy don't want to mention the other word for it just be careful how much salt there putting in the food or spices now my husband is looking after me his restless and sleepy feeling bad for my hubby he has to take care of me hope it don't spoil my day out tomorrow I hope I get better ASAP just a warning to those who ended up like me tonight maybe they was in rush or something they may made mistake... I'm not sure all I know is my tummy is burning so badly and I'm sick t.c I would upload pic of my receipt but unfortunately Google...
