Went as a big group (pre-booked). Staff told us the chef is specifically waiting for us so we need to make our orders asap. We all did using the barcode app - all our meals came at different times. Some of our meals were incorrect. We had to speak to staff about 4 times only for the meals to arrive incorrect still.

The reason we were given for the incorrect orders was because the online order system is not working- but they told us to order this way. After discovering the online order system wasn't working we wanted to know why they didn't double check the orders with the table. Instead they just left us to follow up on what was happening. It was abysmal.

My order didn't arrive ...I waited an hour (going back and forth asking them and them telling me its coming) after everyone's meal had arrived and was finished - the incorrect order was given and again they said the online system wasn't working. My thing is, why didn't you then do orders manually..instead they just decided to leave it until somebody said something.

I let her know my order was wrong (3rd or 4th order wrong for our table) they then went back and said the chef stormed off (not our problem). My order eventually arrived and it was incorrect once again, i gave up. They eventually gave us a refund for my meal. But I could not understand how terrible the service was. This was not a walk in service, it was pre-booked.

Very disappointed with the service. Meals were tasteless - drinks were good though. Did not...

In our group we spent just over $400, it is by far the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, this is the first time I’ve ever left a review on a restaurant before.

To clarify we came in late on a Sunday, and were a larger group (though we had a reservation).

First the service was atrocious, the waiters were lovely and personable, but simultaneously it took nearly half an hour to get our order taken, and it took our food well over an hour to come. Our food came out at completely different times, where half of our group had finished their mains before some of ours received theirs.

Atmosphere was perfectly fine.

The food was what killed, it was almost comical how every dish seemed to have something wrong with it, the fajitas all had what seemed to be prison gruel as the bean combo, and didn’t have any rice as it said on the menu, because they ran out, they did not tell us at any point of course.

The chorizo tacos were almost bite sized. The burrito was buried, the beef taco confused some of us, as the beef tasted like canned tuna, and the beef in the fajitas tasted like jerky.

It’s likely this can all be explained by unfortunate circumstance and bad luck, but at no point did they communicate the issues obviously occurring behind the scenes. Some of our friends that have been to Mexican Kitchen previously insist that this is a once off, and this may be true, but I felt obligated to write this review out of sheer outrage at the price, food...

Great to see The Mexican Kitchen has only improved with age after 25 years away and relieved to see the only changes were for the better. To start we had a Pina Piña colada & a Margarita with Guacamole, & Sonora Nachos, the drinks were the perfect balance of sweet coconut and pineapple, sweet-sour & and salty that matched the hot tasty melty spicy evenly spaced plie that stayed hot till the end on the heated plate, which explained the missing pain on the rustic tables, I have tried to copy the Mex's guacamole at home but simple is not easy with the right balance so ill be back for that alone. That would have been enough but it was too late to cancel the Beef and veg option Spinach Quesadillas floating on a bed of spiced rice and thankfully as they are my new favourites. Even the coffee was better than anywhere on the strip not because we had a couple of shots of good tequila from their extensive range. The staff were on point and the accents Spanish & Argentinian only added to the experience, sorry there is no room for deserts great to see our “environmentally green doggy bags with the extra rice to go. The final surprise was the bill was less than expected then the host bid us a safe farewell to match the greeting I was beginning to wonder which...

I don’t understand why it’s called “The Mexican Kitchen” when the food is the farthest thing from Mexican that I have ever tasted. Ordered nachos for 2 (or should I say a big pile of mess) and it was just a mountain of chips with beef between a layer and then salsa between another. On top was a pile of cheese, olives and spring onion. The nachos were somehow soggy yet dry at the same time. The beef was dry with no flavour, cheese was crunchy/soggy, the salsa tasted like it was burnt somehow. I had to force myself to eat it as I don’t like to waste food or money. Myself and partner had stomach problems all night. Really wish we went to “La Cabana” instead as the reviews are better and judging by the photos the food actually looks worth it. Staff were polite at least but The Mexican Kitchen is definitely not worth your time or money!

A Vibrant Taste of Mexico! Walking into this Mexican kitchen feels like stepping into a fiesta. The atmosphere is bursting with colour and energy — from bold, vibrant décor to the playful touch of sombreros that tie the whole experience together perfectly. The menu strikes a brilliant balance between modern flair and traditional Mexican flavours. Every dish is packed with authentic taste and generous portions — you definitely won’t leave hungry! The drinks are equally impressive, especially the spicy margaritas, which are a must-try if you love a bit of heat with your tequila. What truly made the experience special, though, was the staff. Warm, accommodating, and so much fun — they brought the place to life just as much as the decor. Can’t wait to go back!
