Lovells Bakery — Restaurant in Inglewood

We have been going to Lovells at Inglewood for years and popped in this weekend past. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the dine in area was clean and comfortable. The pies are the main draw card, with a large variety of tasty flavours ranging from traditional to more a modern twist. I had my favourite, the cauli/broc triangle, buttery flaky pastry with large pieces of veg inside enveloped in a creamy sauce. My other half had the lasagne pie which was full of flavour, packed with beef, pasta sheets and a delicious béchamel sauce, his favourite part again being the pastry encasing the mid morning treat. Driven past Lovell's Bakery many times over the years and finally got to stop in.

Nice little bakery/general store with a small outside sitting area.

The staff member greeted us with a big smile and was eager to chat and tell us about the food etc on offer.

Now, as a bloke who has to try a pie at every bakery i stop at, i was looking forward to tucking into a Lovell's plain pie.

As far as pie's go, it definitely wasn't the worst, but it wasn't the best ive had either. But I'll give them another go, still gotta try a sausage roll/pasty and some of their fancier pies.

Im not a sweet tooth, but if you're keen, there was a nice array of doughnuts, cakes etc.

Next time you're nearby definitely pop in and give Lovell's Bakery a go!

We visited this bakery this morning to buy some fuel and have their pies and drinks. My kids suddenly wanted to go to the toilet so I had to ask the lady in the bakery if we could use their bathroom. She said no and kept working. She didn't even tell us where the public toilet we needed to drive to was until we asked. I understood they really didn't have a bathroom on site but at least they could be more caring for the customer with kids desperate to go to the toilet.
