We came to Cucina 3064 for a family birthday breakfast event. A booking was made for 2 people. Upon entering Marnong Estate we were captivated by the views of the fields and the animals. It was truly a great view. Before coming to Cucina, we rang up to make sure the food was halal friendly and were told by the staff that it was indeed halal and many options were present. Upon arriving to Cucina 3064, things turned completely downhill. We were given a 'breakfast' meny consisting of 10 options that were majorly overpriced. Honestly, the meny was very much limited and was completely overpriced. My partner ordered eggs on toast and was literally provided two grilled sliced of bread that didnt actually taste like sourdough, a piece of butter and two poached eggs. I ordered the brioche panini with mushrooms and ordered three eggs on the side, but when the food came, they were all put in the sandwich and it was a complete mess.
The coffee on the other hand was a complete mess. Staff definetly needs additional barista training as my strong latte was one third froth and partners latte had minimal froth. The beans used are from Lavazza and honestly tasted months old. An estate like this would need to really up their game with regards to coffee as there is a plethora of specialty coffee roasters in the area that they can utilise.
The worst part of the experience though was not the food but the hygiene. My partner and I while we were sitting were literally smelling a strong odour while we sipping our coffees that smelt like urine! and the smell just kept wafting and would not go away. We were on the brink of leaving because of the smell, but none of the workers seemed to be bothered by it (no other customers were present besides us for breakfast). All in all, it was a horrible experience and we definetly wont be returning. You really need to up your game as its no wonder there was no one present there for...
Read moreThe staff were slow to take a drinks order or even offer water when we first arrived. There were only a few people in as we were a 6pm booking. We ordered entrees and mains. 3 of the 4 Entrees arrived, while we were waiting for the last entree the Main meals started to arrive at the table as well. When we questioned the Wait Staff she said that all meals are served at once and continued to leave dishes. We questioned another Staff member as food continued to arrive. She spoke with her Manager who came to our table and took the Mains back to the kitchen.
The Arancini and Meatballs were very nice, the Popcorn Chicken was dry and lacking in flavour. The Pizza we had was nice, but the other 3 Mains were disappointing. The Brisket was more of a salad, so not particularly warm, the Lamb Cutlets were over cooked and the slaw was bland. Unfortunately the broccolini side dish never arrived. Given that we paid an additional 15% surcharge for the Public Holiday the evening was expensive and...
Read moreEdit: We came to Cucina again for a 2nd time and were seated in the Terrace which was lovely and secluded from most of the noise in the dining area. We ordered the Foccacia with ricotta, the lamb shoulder with a side of chips and salad. All dishes were absolutely incredible and completely exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to come back and order the exact same dishes!
My partner booked a birthday dinner for me tonight, upon entering we were left waiting for approx 10 minutes before the seating hostest came to acknowledge us but no apology for the delay and without a proper friendly greeting. We ordered the focaicia and the vedure pizza which was delicious. Our mains were the steak porterhouse and barramundi which was cooked beautifully, best fish I've had in a restaurant. However, dessert was very disapointing as we ordered a serving of cannoli which came with two absolutely tiny cannoli's and felt completely overcharged for the price. Overall, food was good but overpriced in...
