Hiroyi Japanese House in Hawthorn is a delightful restaurant that offers an authentic Japanese dining experience. The restaurant is located in the heart of Hawthorn, a beautiful suburb in Melbourne, Australia, and is easily accessible by public transport.

As soon as you walk into the restaurant, you are greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance. The decor is minimalist and intimate atmosphere. The restaurant is well-lit and spacious, with comfortable seating arrangements and a beautiful view of the street.

The menu at Hiroyi Japanese House is extensive and offers a wide range of dishes that cater to different tastes and preferences. From sushi and sashimi to ramen and udon noodles, the restaurant has something for everyone. The quality of the ingredients used in each dish is top-notch, and the flavors are authentic and delicious.

One of the standout dishes at Hiroyi Japanese House is the Wagyu beef tataki. The beef is tender and juicy, and the seasoning is perfectly balanced. The dish is served with a ponzu sauce that adds a tangy flavor to the dish, making it a must-try for meat lovers.

The sushi and sashimi at Hiroyi Japanese House are also exceptional. The fish is fresh and of high quality, and the rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned. The restaurant offers a variety of sushi rolls, from the classic California roll to the more adventurous dragon roll, and each one is beautifully presented.

In addition to the food, the service at Hiroyi Japanese House is excellent. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. They are attentive to their customers' needs and make sure that everyone has a pleasant dining experience.

Overall, Hiroyi Japanese House in Hawthorn is a fantastic restaurant that offers an authentic Japanese dining experience. The quality of the food, the ambiance, and the service are all top-notch, and it is no wonder why the restaurant has become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. If you are a fan of Japanese cuisine or just looking for a new dining experience, Hiroyi Japanese House is definitely...

Good food at an affordable price point!

Ordered the karaage curry rice and it came out fresh and piping hot! Portion size was very generous for its pricing, a bit too much for me personally, certainly not a complaint but rather a good thing. The curry tasted great and the karaage chicken was quite good. One complaint I have with a lot of Japanese restaurants is that they often don’t serve enough curry, but there was absolutely no issue with that here.

The atmosphere definitely left much to be desired however, warmer lights, some additional decor and perhaps when time comes to replace the furniture, non-white furniture that is less likely to stain and look dirty over time would definitely...

I’m a hugeee fan of this restaurant! Just happened upon it when I went to the Woolies and tried their Gyodon dish. I have been a fan ever since. I’ve tried a variety of their dishes but I usually always end up ordering their gyodon (Kimchi and Beef are my go-to) because it’s just So Good!

The quality of the meat is 👌🏻 - Just melts in your mouth. Flavour is always spot on. Portions are generous and pricing is very fair especially given the quality of the food.

I have never eaten in the restaurant (only takeaway) due to lockdown. However, food is always still fresh (even the chicken karage).

The staff are always so lovely and attentive.

It’s such an underrated restaurant. Couldn’t...

I'm so sorry to give a three because they've only just opened and it's such a tough time for businesses, but this is disappointing foodcourt ramen. Not much flavour in the broth, egg had a bit of runny in the white and they don't make their own noodles (fine, but they don't use good ones). Pork fatty but okay at least. There's much better ramen with handmade noodles nearby for a dollar or so more. They were nice, efficient and it was packed well. Again, sorry. Edited to add: a lot of other reviews (from new accounts) popped up just after mine, with extremely well-presented photos, which is completely different to what I got

Small hole in the wall restaurant which is unassuming, but all the dishes do all the talking! There is a decent range of Japanese food which made quickly and you won’t have to wait long after you order. Serving sizes are decent and it’s good value for the price - keep in mind you’re not dining at a fine Japanese restaurant so I would recommend sticking to the fried goods. The veggie croquettes were the highlight, but everything else tasted really yummy (i.e. has that yum yum) Would recommend this place if you’re craving basic but well done Japanese food.
