I cannot even give this place 1 star but have no choice in order to post, it doesn't accept no stars! Alarm bells when the place was nearly empty on a saturday night, the lights were on so bright, there was no atmosphere. I used to go here a lot and it felt nothing like the place I remember. BEWARE. I ordered fillet steak med rare. Was black on the outside but yes pink in the absolute centre. Tasted wierd but I wasn't sure why. Also told kids had free drinks with meal. Asked for orange juice. And was told they had none!?!?? This is a PUB! Then daughter ordered nachos. Just corn chips with bolognese pork mince on top and melted cheese with tablespoon of tomato and sour cream. Asked for more tomato and avocado and was told the didnt have ANY avocado on the premises!!! Sent first eye fillet back. Served another. Am sure it was off which is now what I suspect the other was too. I spit the first mouthful out though I was starving as hadn't eaten all day. Sent that back too. My husband smelt it and it was strange and he refused to taste it. Staff were defensive and lost. Worst food I have eaten. The staff had no idea why what is worse. They tried hard but just couldn't cook in my opinion. I am a Mum and can cook better every day of the week and do, and went out for a break and so wanted a nice dinner. They were cooks not chefs. I asked what was in the side salad and was told it was pre-prepared and it only had lettuce and onion in it with a bit of tomato. That isn't a salad, that's a garnish! Who can't put a quick FRESH Salad on a plate!? Every request was met with "oh no we can't do that" or "we have run out"! The place was quiet and still they had nothing. DO NOT GO HERE. I am not fussy and was starving with two young kids in tow at 9pm and still couldn't eat their food. Just tired and mediocre especially at $40 for a dry tough steak. STAY AWAY. This place has no idea. I am still angry AND hungry. Grrrrr
