I must express how disgraceful the service is.
We ordered through Uber Eats, and get a call immediately after the order to be advised one of your items that we ordered is not available.
While we were trying to work it out with the woman who called us (unfortunately didn't get a name), she did not seem to understand anything we were saying and kept saying "yes we have this item but can't send through uber eats".
We then proceeded to ask what is available and she proceeded to stutter and list a number of things. When we selected one of her listed items, she stated it wasn't available and then procceeded to hang up. At the time of writing this we seem to have been charged even though we cancelled our order. If we do not get a refund we will be taking this further. Of course this, is an issue with uber eats so I will say no more.
Hire people who actually know what they are talking about.
Don't list items on a menu on uber eats, if it is not available on uber eats.
Do not hang up unless the issue has been resolved. If you hang up by accident, then have the decency to call...
Read moreThey can certainly improve. In terms of ambience I would give it 3/5. Looks a bit shabby from the outside but inside although small is well decorated. Customer service would be 2/5. The serving staff can certainly be trained up in professionally dealing with customers. What was also disappointing was that half the items in the menu were not available. Food 4/5 n it was a mixed bag with many good items and one poor item. Dolphin kottu, fried rice, hot butter cuttlefish and nasi goreng were pretty good. The Caramel pudding was a huge let down. Taste was below average. The menu mentioned maple syrup on the top but ours didn't have any. The tinkiri tea though was pretty good. Overall they have potential but lots of room...
Read moreI recently dined at Walawwa The Bungalow in Narre Warren, and it was exceptional. The cozy atmosphere set the tone for a memorable evening.
The menu features authentic Sri Lankan dishes with rich flavors and spices. The highlights for me were the Chicken Biryani, Fish Ambul Thiyal, and the standout Fried Rice and Kottu. The vegetarian options, including the Dhal Curry and Eggplant Moju, were also impressive.
The staff were welcoming and attentive, enhancing the dining experience with their knowledge and excellent service.
Walawwa The Bungalow is a hidden gem offering a wonderful taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. I highly recommend it and can’t...
