The good - kids playground was a hit for our 4 and 7 year old. The lights in the garden looked pretty. The cheesecake was nice. The entree squid was fine.
The not so good- Baked ratatouille was so flavourless and disappointing for $28. Apparently there were smoked almonds in it somewhere although not to be seen. Literally just mushy eggplant, mushy tomatoes with a handful of dry rocket on top all within a bowl. Void of flavour. The steak frites was medium rare and done so- but a very tough/cheap bit of meat that was difficult to get through. Kid’s meal deal was a lot smaller for value compared to other hotels in the hills offering for same price. Small serving, small icecream and small juice in a bottle. Except no cold salad options other than warm potatoe salad, which was tasty. Its very kid friendly offering well equipted playground and table tennis. Monday kids eat free, which makes it a bit noisy with their screams of glee as they run around playing chase. Unfortunately they have pokies, which I find very anti-social, but they are at least out of sight. But...
