Absolutely incredible food tucked away in an urban corner of Bathurst. Yet the location makes it all the better, drawing guests out of the CBD for their intentional choice to dine at this restaurant. The food was divine, I think I will now be ruined for the dry room temperature dishes on a sushi train when I’ve tasted the flavourful, artistic and expertly crafted dishes at Kisuya. The staff were lovely, even on a busy Saturday night they showed composure and professionalism. I’m truly grateful I could enjoy my meal without feeling the servers weren’t stressed or struggling with understaffing. The tables are packed into the small space, and the decor is clean and modern. But I would honestly eat and enjoy this food even if I had to squat...

Kisuya is honestly one of Bathurst’s best-kept secrets. We started with the salmon sashimi, which was unbelievably fresh and just melted in my mouth — easily some of the best I’ve had outside of Sydney. The wagyu beef was cooked perfectly, tender and full of flavour, and the prawn yakisoba was spot on — generous with the prawns, great balance of flavours, and noodles cooked to perfection.

The staff were super friendly and clearly take pride in what they do. The atmosphere is calm, authentic, and really adds to the experience. You can tell every dish is made with care and attention to detail.

Can’t recommend Kisuya enough — if you’re in Bathurst and love Japanese food, this place is an...

Went on a date night here last night for the first time. We had been excited to book for a while. Staff were attentive and had us seated immediately, our food was brought out quickly and was amazing. Presented really nicely, fresh and portion size was more than enough to be satisfied. We paid $88 for both meals and drinks (no alcohol) and feel that was a fair price for a more "posh" experience.

The only downside was that it was painfully loud in the restaurant and the chairs were not super comfy. Granted it was packed, and the noise levels are obviously not controlled by staff, but we only stayed an hour as a result.

Will look forward to trying the...

10/10 absolutely divine. So happy they are finally open. Lovely range of beers as well. The beer on tap is so yummy. Takeaway has started as well which makes it more accessible for some. Especially if you dont wanna get dressed up to eat Japanese food. Very exciting to have kisuya as a option for food in Bathurst. Bathurst needs more range of foods as all we used to have was just pizza or burgers or deep-fried fish. 10/10 Staff members always so lovely. Maria is just a beautiful caring waitress and we always have lovely conversations when i go there.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant, you'll be missing out if you don't. Service was delightful and very professional. The cocktails were delicious with the hazelnut Martini being my go to. From entres to the dessert the quality and taste of everything was outstanding. Shown in photos: Yuzu love cocktail & pork gyoza. Prawn yakisoba & japanese Pickle trio (swapped for all radish) Chocolate souffle
