Popped in for a dinner our parents had bought us for chrissy. We were immediately gretted with a smile as soon as we walked in and promptly seated. We were on a balcony behind a table that overlooked the river. We really wanted that table and the venue was happy to let us move once the previous people left. Service was nice and quick, our orders were taken in a nice prompt fashion. Good wine and drinks selection for a small restaurant. We started off with the Antipasto platter, the selection of meat, cheese dips and roasted veg was nice (as with all places you go, a couple more slices of bread would be nice as standard). My partner and I both had the scotch fillet for dinner and subbed in the truffle mash instead of the regular. The waiter who dropped them off got them the wrong way round (med rare and med well) however that is an easy mistake to make. In our opinion both were slightly overdone but not enough to remove a star as the meals were still both delicious. We were stuffed after this so didn't get to try the desserts however the selection loog good. All in all a nice place to go and we will be back next time we are in Coffs.

We popped in to Shearwater with a large booking at the last minute the girls were very good to accomodate us. We all had a great time the food was really nice, I loved the snapper it was so fresh and delicious and came with party sticks which are nice too. The burger tasted great as well. The outlook onto the creek was delightful and after opening up the patio blinds the beautiful breeze was wonderful. The kids was left bewildered as the chicken nuggets were listed as crumbed chicken on the menu. Not the same, don’t disappoint the kids bro! The pillows of gnocchi were great but the red sauce was not as appealing and had large chunks of firm carrot which didn’t go well with the gnocchi, perhaps a creamy sauce would be better. Coffee was also extremely enjoyable.

The location of this tucked-away cafe is just sublime. It overlooks a bend in Coffs Creek which is as charming at sunset as it is for breakfast (we tried both). The snapper and salmon specials were both perfectly cooked although the tomato relish overpowered the fish. The share plate entree was spot on with mushroom arancini, pork belly and grilled haloumi. The fries were underwhelming as a side, being a little undercooked. The $12 breakfast was remarkably good and a wide range of options. The service was friendly and engaged at both times we met. Highly recommended.

Had a great lunch here. We ordered beef cheek ragu and spiced squid. Though my tagliatelle was slightly overcooked, the flavors were there, and it was delicious. My wife loved the squid, especially its texture, which is soft but firm. The view of the river is gorgeous and refreshing. You can see hundreds of fish swimming below. The staff was friendly and accommodating, with a knack for photography😊. The service was excellent, and we did not have to wait long for our food to be served. This place is perfect for a romantic date.

Let’s start with the food. Food was really good and you can also figure out from the below picture. When it comes to service it’s pathetic. You have to wait for 40-45 mins to get your breakfast on your table. Once you gets your food then you have to wait for additional 10-15 mins to get the cutlery and in my case I could not get it after 15 mins so I have to walk down to the counter to ask for it. That’s the reason I gave 3 stars. If you are happy to wait for 45mins for your food then this is your go to restaurant.

Celebrating Mother's Day at Shearwater Restaurant was a great decision. The picturesque views of the river accompanied by the soothing ambiance created a peaceful atmosphere. Our meals were impressive, and the Scotch Fillet stole the show with its perfect medium rare cooking. The flavorsome garlic chili prawns were a delight to the taste buds, and their aroma was so alluring that it made me forget to capture a photo. Shearwater Restaurant is undoubtedly the perfect spot for an unforgettable afternoon by the river.
