We went to this restaurant for a family dinner as it showed up as the highest rated restaurant in Coffs Harbour on Google. What a disappointment! The location is nice and the informal setting is good for a family however the service we received was poor at best and while the menu tries to be "trendy" the food when it arrived was inconsistent. The waiter tried to be cool with flourishes galore (spinning the pepper grinder etc) but we would have had a much nicer night if he had avoided dumping the empty prosciutto tray full of oily water on my wife's hair and blouse. No apology or compensation either. The child's fish dish came with plenty of bones, the first two adult main meals came 20 minutes before the remaining two, despite 3 of the four meals being the same dish, and the side salad that was ordered never appeared. The meat dish was good, albeit small, but the large fish dishes ordered by the other adults were quite oily. The only redeeming feature was a reasonable wine list. For the prices this restaurant charges you would expect quality food and competent service along with the nice location. Unfortunately it currently only provides the nice location so we wont be going back unless the management changes.
