Let's be honest a buffet is a buffet is a buffet... The cost for a family of 5 was Ok. No complaints there. The staff were very pleasant and extremely attentive. We asked about a vegetarian pizza, as there wasn't one, and the staff kindly offered to make one. It was OK. The curries were not a disappointment. The dahl was the stand out along with the veggie samosas. However, as a family of vegetarians (I'm one of them) and flexatarians the choice was a little bit limited. I have to be honest there was a noticeable lack of fresh food (salads). The really healthy but cheap stuff. Generally, salads are plentiful at a buffet and we often end up trying salads we've not had before. It's generally a favourite with us. There were veggies to go with the roast meat and they were definitely freshly cooked however they didn't appear to be roasted. That's a comment not a complaint.
You could say, that reading the above we were well catered and to some extent you're right but we honestly look forward to the salads and unfortunately there wasn't even one. By the way I asked. "Salads, no we don't do them"
So, would we go back? No, not with the lack of variety, and not if we can't eat salads. The curries were great but a curry house would be better value and you go to buffet for variety not curry alone.
Again, the staff were great and just...

I saw this place popped my head in. The staff were so friendly they allowed me to see the lunch time buffet before I ordered, I came back a few minutes later and had my lunch. I asked for a window seat to be near fresh air and they provided that for me. The food was the highest of quality. The chicken was cooked and marinated perfectly. I couldn't stop eating the honey dew, rockmelon & grapes on offer. The pizza was the perfect buffet pizza. The salad was high quality. The calamari was thick. The staff were friendly and keen for a chat. This was the first place in Port Macquarie I ventured into after a 12-year absence. I'm so glad I did made my trip so worthwhile. This place is awesome.
2ND VISIT JAN 2021: I came for dinner instead of lunch when I was up in Port where I made two trips to this wonderful place. They have so many options available for dinner. It's well worth it. The service was exceptional, the staff made me feel like family. On top of the options from my first visit included seafood, desserts and more hot food varieties. As always the staff treated me like family. My favourite dining spot in Port (and there's some absolute great places this is...
Read moreUnfortunately we did not enjoy our experience. The food was bland and not even up to your basic food court standard. On top of that a basic red wine is $16 a glass! I will not be going back any time soon.
Thank you for your reply below. Whilst I find your tone offensive and unnecessary I will reply with the level of courtesy that I should have received from you.
I was asked by one of your staff, as they were clearing our dessert plates, if we enjoyed our meal. My response was ‘it was ok’. I didn’t see any need to make a fuss about the disappointing food.
Your accusation of my being a keyboard warrior is unfounded; I would not have left any review at all if you had not emailed and specifically asked me too.
With respect to the wine, it was certainly not my intention to order a top shelf imported wine when I asked for a glass of Cabernet Merlot but I am happy to take responsibility for not clarifying with the bar staff.
I am sorry that you feel justified in responding to my honest review with such aggression but please respect that I am entitled to my opinion.
The food was not up to standard,...
