Cuisine On Bowen — Restaurant in Queensland

We recently went here for breakfast on Sunday morning. It was pretty busy, but that is to be expected. Ordered food, including a few extras. 45mins later, food still has not arrived, but people who have came in afterwards have gotten theirs.

When we asked where our food was, we're told it would be another 5 mins but wasn't given an apology.

About 15 after that food arrives. I ordered the toast and jam with a side of Bacon (for $4 extra!). I didn't get any jam so had to ask for that separately and the Bacon was the smallest rash I have seen and was barely cooked.

My friend got a side of tomatoes with her meal (also $4 extra) and she got 5 cherry tomatoes!! She could have almost bought a whole punnet for that.

My partners meal had baked beans which looked like they had been sitting under the heat lamps for easy to long and was just bad.

We also hadn't been given cutlery as had to get that ourselves.

The food was pretty decent but just totally not worth the price.

Definitely not on the list to go back to again...

I think the coffee, food and service are great. You couldn't ask for a more friendly & pleasant girl on the counter. Now for some kickback towards the critics- It's becoming hard for all businesses to survive with so many special people these day that want to ruin a small local business with there insulting & pompous remarks, usually because their comparison to another store is not the same. Its easy to jump online and hurl criticism when you probably couldn't do better, but remember everyone has different taste, I've also had foods or drinks at other stores that don't suit me but I don't put my thoughts out there to hurt people's feelings or try and minimise their future success. Wish this would allow 0 rating. What a horrid experience. Came in from out of town and just wanted something nice to eat before doing our running around, even called ahead to book. Not busy at all when we got there, 3 other tables, 1 with food already. Got mumbled at by one staff so sat at the wrong table. Then went to counter to order as I wanted something a little different. Stood there and stood there with all 3 staff behind counter, all started at me multiple times, only the coffe guy was actually busy. No one served me, no one even bother to say, "won't be a moment. So I left without even being acknowledged. On a morning where I just wanted a simple, easy bite to eat, the atrociousness of the customer service industry rears it's ugly head again.
