Unbelievable. Love. Love. Love the food. The flavours were sensational. We had lunch on a Saturday. I ordered a daily special called Cajun chicken & bacon fajitas.. was freaking amazing! bacon was crisp and had terrific flavour. The chicken was moist, soft small pieces and full of flavor. Terrific sides to compliment, perfect portion sizes and soft fresh wraps. Hubby ate a beef brisket enchilada. Again, it was full of flavor, smokey shredded beef but not that sweet BBQ flavor that over powers everything. He was raving over it. Must come try this food. Staff were quick to sit us at a table but slow to take our order. We had to wave them down. Our drinks never arrived until we asked for them.

Was concerned going in as I seen lots of reviews describing it to be bland and tasteless, as I have experienced this before with another Mexican restaurant and didn’t want to be let down. We got the Birria beef tacos (broth was rich and spiced well), chicken enchiladas (also spiced well) with a side of guac and jalapeño poppers (average but good). All were flavoursome & I walked away pleasantly surprised. The staff was very attentive and friendly & open to discuss our experience. Their home made hot sauce was lovely - actually had spice and was really well balanced.

What a lovely place! Walked in on a whim and was seen to immediately. The staff were lovely, especially the lady in the pink top behind the bar. Had the pulled beef tacos with a side of home made hot sauce and a coconut margarita. All came out quick. The tacos weren't overloaded with crap to pezazz them up but were so tastey. The home made hot sauce is full of flavour woth an amazing kick and the margarita was spicey, tangy with a hint of creaminess. Looks like I'll be putting on some weight while in town

Hey guys,

So i thought the service was good, had no faults there.

I feel as though the cooks did a great job. Texture wise, look wise, ratio wise, it all was perfect.

The reason for the one star is that the food itself was terrible. When i say that, i mean the recipes itself.

We had Jalepeno poppers, chicken nachos, pulled pork burritos, chocolate tirasimu and chocolate brownie.

First three dishes had absolutely no flavour. Cooked well but again, no flavour. The only ITEM in all the dishes that had flavour was bbq chicken but because they cook it and put it in fridge for so long it is completely dryed out. Guys, please put them with the juices you cook them with and cover it otherwise you serve people dry chicken. Everything else needs some type of season. When i say some type of seasoning, i mean ANY type of seasoning. Even some salt would make it better.

Regarding deserts, i am not suggesting, i am saying that the deserts have been in the fridge for at least a week uncovered. The cake itself was like floppy rubber. If you tell me that desert is not a week old then whoever cooks it should not change jobs but career paths.

The person on service asked me how the food was. I informed her with what i just said in a friendly manner. I assume she knows how bad the food is because she just found it funny. Please remember that i did not say any of this in a upset way, as i am NOT upset. Just me and the whole family think it was a complete waste of time and money.

Put it this way, if anyone asked me to go to this restuarant for free, i would say no.

Lastly, you may say that service was good and cooks created the dish as best it can be but you only gave it a 1 star... i say: it really tasted that poorly.

Response to the owners response -

Your cooking skills are obvously as good as your reading skills. You got one star because your food was that terrible that even with the best service, it created a terrible night out. If you could turn water into edible food then that is what i would class your food as. Tastless mass.

Your plot to try and guilt me fir giving a honest review for a food company which serviced trash for food is disgusting in itself.

You say my food hurts a local business. How about the local business looking after their locals by serving anything besided dissappointment and then trash talking them when they notify you that they were served bad food.

Should be ashamed with your response. Anyone else would of apologised, informed us that it was likely a one off issue which i would remove the review and tried restaurant again but instead your inner crazy came out to show what type of person and business you really do run. Maybe step down from your postion and hire a PR for yourself as responding to criticism, reading and cooking is definitely not a...

Sadly we had the most disappointed meal here. Having booked a table for 6.30pm for a table of 7 we were looking forward to our night out. By 7.45 we had to ask for out order to be taken. By 8.30 we had to ask where our starters were. We were then brought plates of food which we never ordered. When we complained the waiter muttered “you go to the kitchen and deal with it”! It went very downhill after that. All our food then arrived all at once. We asked to see the manager who’s attitude was shocking. She was unapologetic & irritated. Claiming she was short staffed - however she must’ve known there was a festival on at the beach that night and should have had extra staff on (she also had her 2 year old in who kept throwing tantrums) Rather than apologising and offering something as an apology she got her back up and told us we should show her some respect. I was horrified that she behaved this way and then she proceeded to talk about us to the next table and rolled her eyes as she walked by our table. So awful!!! My seafood nachos which I had requested for no cheese came WITHOUT guacamole, sour cream, aioli and extra chillis. I sent it back and the manager returned without it being changed questioning ME saying I did ask for it without cheese!!! Yes but I still want guacamole, chilli, sour cream and aioli. Last time I checked they weren’t cheese! By this point the meal was now cold. Another order didn’t arrive. Which the manager later pointed out to us was because it was sitting on the table behind us. OMG!!! When the bill came the food which we never received wasn’t taken off it, nor was the meal and drinks already paid for by a friend who had to leave (she also didn’t have time to finish her meal either!) There was no apology from the staff. Only aggression and bad attitude from the manager. Resulting in us having our night ruined. Such a shame this manager couldn’t have resolved this calmly. It could easily have been smoothed over with a bowl of chips and an apology. But the stinking attitude and aggressive owner means we will...

I was keen to try this place after an urban eats article on the best places to eat on the Sunshine Coast. My boyfriend & I went along on a Saturday night without a booking, and sadly could not be seated. The next day, we optimistically noted that we could order takeaway online, and get it delivered. However, for some reason, the ordering online part of their website was done. Instead, I called the store & learned that they weren't delivering that day either. Fine, we will have to pick it up. I placed our order, carefully selected from the online menu. I was told one of the two meals we ordered - the Baja salad - was no longer available. “You must be looking at an old menu!” the staff told me. So I said "Ok, can I please have the Vegan tacos?" "Nope. Not available tonight either." I was like “Ummmm okay can I please have the vegan power bowl then!?” Available but no jackfruit. At that point I was sick of picking things off their menu that were not available, so sure, charge me full price for a half a meal and let’s get this over with. The staff member advised it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went to the location to pick it up. 30 minutes later, I was told it was just 5 minutes away. When it was ready, it was hot and looked good. I spend the whole time wondering what my choices would of tasted like instead. I’d really recommend they offer an alternative ingredient for their missing ingredients, or a free jalapeño popper or a slap on the butt when...
