"The Corner" serves delicious coffees, teas & cold beverages available, aslo Licensed for serving alcoholic beverages. Offering Fantastic cakes & pastries, sweets & other delicious delights, multiple seating options for enjoying your fare, outside patio sunny with umbrellas, lovely airy inside dining space, tables & chairs out front on the street under shady trees, coffee clutch areas with sofa, tables & chairs. Breakfasts & lunches are available for dine in or take away. Very nice shops in the same building to explore for gifts, cards & housewares. We just returned from a visit to Tenterfield, one of our favourite country towns but our experience was spoiled by a visit to The Corner Cafe. Without looking at the menu (our fault) my partner ordered two salmon eggs bennies and a couple of coffees with a side of bacon. When I asked her how much it all cost, my jaw dropped...just over $70. I said that can't be right. Salmon bennies are normally $18-22 in GC, even at a cafe on the water and the same two coffees are $8.50 at our local cafe on Chevron Is. but we paid about $10.50. While the coffees tasted great, we were very disappointed with the bennies, which were bland and the poached eggs were overcooked and more like hard boiled eggs. For a country cafe with Versace prices, I would have expected much better. We left...

Nice cafe for breakfast within a historic building. Good selection of breakfast favourites and nice options in the display cabinet however no kids menu. Lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating however the larger indoor area was quite cool and airy, heating isn’t the best on a cold winter morning. Blankets are an option but not comfortable while trying to eat. Service was friendly but due staffing issues there was quite a wait for food. Food serves are generous and coffee was lovely.
