Waited over an hour to be served only to get a medium/rare steak that should've been well done, soggy cold calamari with the crumb hanging off, over cooked tasteless mushrooms, nuggets that resembled rubber and the bottom of the bag curly fries that were basically crumbs rather than curls. Sent the calamari back only to get the same but warmer. Left before my child could eat her dessert we ordered with the kids meal as we were so unimpressed. Told staff all this when paying only to have to wait a further 5 mins for the manager to come and give 100 excuses for everything and tell us that they never get complaints about the calamari 🤣 eventually after raving on and on he said we could have 25% off the $84 bill. Then he charged us $74. You know the management is terrible when they can't even calculate 25% and want to excuse everything rather than just apologise. WILL NEVER GO BACK TO ANY HOGS BREATH AFTER THIS. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. BETTER FOOD AND VALUE AT THE PUB! And to the awful management, before you give your automated pathetic response I see you've given to every other negative review......DON'T BOTHER! You had your chance in store, we allowed you the opportunity to rectify the below average experience we had and you couldn't even apply the insulting discount you settled for...

Special night out, 10th wedding anniversary. What a treat, steak and half lobster for hubby, with salad. For me, just half lobster and salad (can't eat as much as hubby). To start with, hubby's steak was similar to boot leather. No problem, the lovely waitress had another steak cooked. Perfect, and by all accounts, delicious. Both of our salads (if you can call them that), were dismal at best. They condisted of two cocktail tomatoes, a few thin "slices" of onion and a huge pile of designer lettuce. Then the lobster (which we were both excited about having). I need to add that we rarely dine out, so we chose this restaurant because of their steaks and that they were serving lobster. It certainly did NOT match our anticipation. There was only about 2 tablespoons (at best) of flesh on each lobster. Needless to say, we were both extremely disappointed. The ONLY reason we have given a 2 star rating is because our server was extremely polite and went out of her way to be attentive, had it not been for her, I would have given 0 star rating. To say that we weren't happy with our experience is an understatement.

There is absolutely no way I would recommend this restaurant to family or friends....

Went along tonight with my son, and despite many reviews about the long waits and not enough servers, we thought we’d give it a go. We were seated immediately but the gentleman acknowledged that he was super busy (we were seated down the back, closest to the kitchen). He initially seemed like he was by himself but a Second Lady came out from the back. We waited 30 minutes without being served. We watched others that came in after us get served, watched their drinks get made and delivered, then watched them order their meals. No one came to get our order or even talk to us. We were ok to wait and understand it can get busy, but watching others get served who came in 15 minutes after we arrived was a poor experience. After 30 minutes we left and ended up at the beautiful union pub down the road (enjoying a nice steak). If you want customers to come, you need more staff and to be better organised. Very disappointed as we have travelled 5 hours today and my son and I were looking forward to...

A 3.5! Waited too long (at least 20 mins!) for our drinks! We were super thirsty and would love to have at least a cup of water. Then we waited for a total of 35 (or even 40!?) mins for the food, I wasn’t so hungry but then after all the waiting, I started to get hungry lol so actually can’t tell if the wait was completely bad lol The bench that we were on is very narrow or my butt is too huge, aren’t comfy seats for me anyway. (Food comment please see photos’ caption) We were in town for one day, walked past this place in the morning and thought it seems nice, why not have our dinner here? The ambience was a bit Texan to me, and that night was unbelievably crowded! I can see this is a great place for groups and family, the service was impeccable too. Love their servers: light chit chat, nice greetings and kept track of the tables they are serving.

Look this one is a tough one - Hogs does what it does but (in my opinion) doesn’t do it well compared to Outback Steakhouse. That said, this is Wagga and the nearest outback is Sydney. Bit expensive for what it is. Seats are outrageously uncomfortable but always have been - maybe part of the charm for some? Mains fine overall. Desserts not great. Ice cream was all icy like it was not been kept frozen. Staff - I genuinely can say our waitress was trying but I found she came off rude but I later realised this wasn’t her intention. Maybe more training would help? Partner never complains and hated his steak - tough as leather I’m told. Edit: after the reply below I emailed the team that same day, 2 weeks later and no reply. Clearly the public reply is just to be seen rather than any genuine attempt to make things right.

I like Italian food. My friend is a vegetarian. Given these, I was rather surprised when my friend suggested Hog's Breath Cafe for dinnner, as on the face of things, it wouldn’t have been either of our first choices. Boy, was I wrong! An important part of eating out is the decor, and I absolutely loved everything about Hog's Breath! (See attached picture) Very rustic… and real rustic, not hipster rustic! The service was amazing… the staff made very helpful suggestions to both myself and my friend about what we might like to eat, and the food arrived very quickly! Portions… were simply enormous! (See attached picture) I like to eat, but next time, I’m going to have to order a small instead of a regular. And the food was absolutely delicious too! One thing I can be certain of… I will be back!
