Since I posted the review below, there is a water bowl out again. They even offered some complimentary dog treats for my dogs a couple of times. Nice gesture.... It's a shame that I had to post a negative review to get something done. It should have happened after I mentioned it to staff not only once, but several times. Will give it three stars now, hopefully that the rest will improve too.
Used to be great when it was Le croissant (five stars), sadly after it changed hands it's gone down hill. For years, there used to be a bowl (ice cream container) of clean, fresh water for the dogs there, always on the same spot, once the business changed hands, the water was contaminated with cigarette buts and other dirt, that's if you could find the bawl, and then it disappear all tougher. I asked for several weeks now, if they could continue the old tradition and put a bawl of clean water there for the dogs - sadly to...
Read moreI walked in this morning to our local cafe, and realised at the door that I had forgotten my mask. I was challenged about this as I stepped inside and apologised for forgetting mine while asking if they could spare one. Two of the staff were frosty during this exchange and proceeded to have a conversation I can only assume I was meant to overhear about how ridiculous it is that people expect to be given a free mask when they forget one, and that they needed to charge for this. As it turned out they wanted an extra $2 for the mask which you can find substitutes online for as little as 25c. I can understand this, however if you want to charge a disproportionate fee too punish/discourage mask forgetters then it would be advisable to do so without the shameful exchange. I was not prepared to support a business where staff were so rude, so left without...
Read moreWe heard so much about this place & it's lovely French food, so my French partner & I headed up there for morning tea. We ordered tiramisu, fresh fruit tart and cappuccinos. Sadly the cappuccinos' were the only thing that we enjoyed. The tiramisu was not only on the small side, but incredibly stale, very dry and lacked flavour. The fresh fruit tart was slightly better, but wasn't exactly fresh. Now at $7+ per dessert in Paris, you'd expect perfection and that's exactly what you'd get. But to charge those prices in Kalamunda while serving old stale unappealing and lack lustre desserts, doesn't deserve the overcharge. My partner told the man behind the counter that the food was stale and all he said was ' That is strange '. That was it. Hence, we won't be bitten twice & suggest you don't...
