Al Kwar Restaurant and Grills — Restaurant in Bahrain Island

I used to love this place…….until today .

Me and my friend sat at the tent like setup (Hoora branch) and ordered 2 chicken breast and a hummus. The waiter was friendly and kept asking if we wanted anything else.

But as you can see in the picture, the inner part of the chicken was quite raw.

When I showed it to the waiter, he said “sometime it’ll be like this only. What to do“. (Ok he’s just a regular waiter, so let it be)

So I go to pay at the cashier where a Filipino lady was sitting , I told her about the chicken and her response was “why are you telling this to me , you should tell the waiter and get it changed“. (I had already finished eating major part of the chicken before reaching the inner part. Maybe she wanted me to take an x-ray of the chicken before I started eating)

I wasn’t complaining , I just wanted them to acknowledge the matter so that this doesn’t happen again.

So I get out of there and go to the main family section part of the restaurant and this time I took my plate with me to show it to the main cashier guy ( assuming he must be a part of the management ) but I was shocked to hear his response “if you want extra cooked you should tell the waiter “. The guy dint even have the courtesy to take a look at the plate.

Very disappointed!! I’m never going back there...

Was looking for a place for dinner. Found them on Google explore restaurants. Nothing fancy but good food at amazingly reasonable prices. Mixed grill served with bread, salad and mutabel for 1.5BD !! I had had a seafood buffet at the hotel for 25BD!!! comparatively food quality similar Taste -as good Of course at Al Kwar - was without the ambience or personal service that a hotel provides .

But what I wanted for a great dinner, no fuss, good tasting food with no complains - I just wanted good food , I'm not fancy with status - so I love the place for value for money.

Al Kwar Restaurant and Grills is a modest yet popular spot known for its very low prices. I ordered several dishes including ribs, mixed grills, and a mixed appetizer platter. While the food was generously portioned, the grills were unfortunately overcooked—some even slightly burnt. That said, considering how affordable everything is, I’d still call it a worthwhile experience and something worth trying at least once. The service was impressively fast, which I appreciated.
