Wonderful restaurant, they have beautiful view on the Grote Markt van Diest. A beautifully designed terrace offers wonderful experiences from spring to Autumn. The food is to die for, if you are looking to treat someone with amazing food, then Albero d'oro is your place to be, Italian, French Belgian cuisine. They have a great list of pastas at fair prices. Their food is delicious, brought to you by wonderful waiters, professional and tasty. I think it is fair to say, that you pay that bit extra for a wonderful dinner.

Eerste ervaring in centrum van Diest. Online op zoek naar een Italiaans restaurant in de buurt en hier beland. De verwelkoming van de 2 heren die de zaak leken te runnen was perfect. Vriendelijk, er zijn op het juiste moment. Niet TE aanwezig maar ook niet te weinig. De kaart was net uitgebreid genoeg. Ik ging voor een Osso Buco met een pasta aioli. De kwaliteit van het vlees was meer dan goed. De pasta was heerlijk. De groentjes waren niet meer dan een hoopje sla en wat olijven. Imho leg je dan beter niets maar ... wie ben ik? Ik zou het ook niet gemist hebben. De portie vlees was eerder aan de kleine kant maar met mijn Gastric Bypass was het genoeg. Met wat moeite heb ik het helemaal weg gewerkt en die moeite doe ik enkel als het echt lekker is. Oh en dan de wijn. Heel atypisch voor een Italiaans Restaurant maar ik ben nu eenmaal gek op Zuid Afrikaanse rode wijn. Ik koos voor een pinotage van Orpheus & the Raven van 2022. Zalig lekker wijntje vanuit de westkaap van 🇿🇦. Voor een echte Italiaan zou dit een verkrachting zijn van de Osso Buco, maar gelukkig ben ik maar een echte bourgondische Belg 😉 Al bij al een leuke avond beleefd, dus als ik in de buurt van mijn vriendin nog eens Italiaans wil ... zien ze mij hier zeker terug.

We ordered Kalkoenlapjes and Salad with Shrimp and Langoustine. Kalkoenlapjes was fresh but I disliked the sauce of it because I found it to be too salty. The waiter asked for our feedback of the food. Later, he explained that no salt was added and the saltiness was due to the parmesan used as the sauce.
