La Dolce Vita — Restaurant in Leuven

Starting with the positive: the staff try to be friendly and nice which is always great to have in a restaurant BUT it takes forever to get a dish a lot of mix ups happened while we were there with several tables the food feels super heavy

I ordered one of the pasta dishes with a particular type of pasta, after a lot of waiting I got the dish with the wrong pasta type. They went back and changed it. The taste was ok’ish (a bit salty for my taste, but this does not mean anything to you). The reason why i decide to write the review is mainly because I felt so so heavy all night long which does not happen to me from any pasta type & mix.

Initially I had better expectations from this place but I must say my first time there is the last time. Why? I may have ordered the wrong dish but if it is bad I propose they strike it off the menu. Pasta alla Boscaiola is one of my favourite dishes. This time it was served without any bacon or ham, very little peas, hardly any mushrooms and the sauce - tasteless. The wine served in thick glass. The charming atmosphere paired perfectly with the delicious cuisine, which was beautifully presented and expertly prepared with fresh ingredients and delicate seasoning.

The staff was very friendly and warm, making us feel at home. They were attentive and offered suggestions to make our meal complete. To top it off, we were even offered a complimentary coffee.
