Beautiful place and mostly good food (see #1 below). Some of the staff need some serious coaching.

Three different but extremely bad things happened (especially #1 and #3). (1) Wife ordered mussels and I ate three of them. The third one when I bit into it immediately tasted off and I spit it out (not able to remove all the juices) . However, later that night I was very sick and (without getting graphic) after many episodes, as soon as I expelled all of my stomach contents I was fine. I have zero doubt in my mind that it was the mussels.

(2) During dinner our waiter was never very attentive, there were many times when most of our water glasses were empty and I (having Coke would have both empty water and coke glasses). When our food came they never once came to check on us or do additional refills of non-alcoholic drinks that I recall.

(3) We were there with a group of six with one check. When done eating our bill was paid and some stayed to enjoy the music and dance while others left. (I wasn't here for this, but have no doubt of it's happening.) After a while, while they were drinking and dancing with others that we know, the waiter came over and announced to the group (most of which were not part of our dinner party) that our bill had not been paid and basically accused him of grand theft (bill was large). After producing a copy of the receipt, the waiter wanted to take it, which was refused as it was the only evidence at hand that we had indeed paid. The waiter only apologized much latter and it was a week apology. (The waiter should have double checked his own records before approaching anyone, and then should have asked to speak individually (not in front of others) and simply said there was a mixup and could he please see a copy of the receipt. NOT accuse someone of not paying in front of others when...

We had 3 restaurants picked out for my husband's birthday dinner, we decided to go to Cafe Lido based on all of the great (and recent) reviews. I had requested a table with the view of the ocean and I think we got the best table in the restaurant! The food was absolutely amazing. We had the shaved roast beef appetizer and the crab Ceasar salad, they both had unique flavor blends that worked perfectly!! For dinner I had the maine lobster ravioli. We're from Maine so I'm very very picky about lobster ravioli.... cafe lido's lobster ravioli is my new favorite ravioli!!!! The ravioli burst in your mouth with lobster, butter, and a little bit of sauce. It was the perfect blend. I think it's better than my usual place back home in Maine. My husband's dinner was the special - wahoo with a lemon butter caper sauce. That was very light, flavorful, and delicious. He practically cleaned the entire bowl because the sauce was so delicious. Then we finished off with a birthday dessert of white chocolate and milk chocolate mousse.

We highly recommend them for a nice dinner out or a celebratory dinner in bermuda.

The only negative is that our best table in the house was next to a party of 8. They were very loud, there were 2 kids that were walking around the table, going up to the windows, watching videos on their phones and then showing everyone at the table these videos, there were 8 of them having separate conversations so it was very loud and people kept moving and switching chairs so it was slightly distracting. I think this was a unique situation and doesn't have anything to do with the restaurant itself. And, the restaurant can't tell a large party to turn...

To say that this place is poorly managed is probably an understatement of the century. This is an absolute joke and a travesty, and one of the many, many examples and reasons that Bermuda is held behind in terms of customer service. The owner of that restaurant, is an absolute joke. Every time that we've been there, it has been some kind of a weird rule or some sort of nonsense that has been put in place. People like this should not own businesses, nor should they run them. And the staff there is absolutely wonderful, and the food is wonderful when you can get it. 90% of the time, you cannot sit outside and have a dinner because they are "short-staffed". I don't know what that means, but if you've been to this place, the outdoor seating area is approximately 15 feet from the indoor seating area, which makes absolutely no sense. This place should be shut down, and I believe it will be soon now with the new management there. Save yourself the money and the effort and go to a different place, ideally some place that has far better service. Again, the staff there is wonderful. The owner is explicitly to blame, as he seems to be very stuck in his old Italian ways, which make little to no sense from a business standpoint. And the lackluster attendance there shows it. The views are beautiful. The food is...

The food, service and atmosphere at Cafe Lido is beyond stellar. We visited cafe Lido 2 times for dinner during our trip to Bermuda. When you enter, you are greeted by one of the vibrant, lively hosts who escort you to your beach/oceanside oasis. To start , chairs are pulled out and napkins are placed on your lap. They have food on their menu to satisfy everyone’s pallet. From pasta and fish to steak and chicken. They also have a few gluten free/vegan options as well. As you sit under the stars (the roof opens up above you) and hear the waves of the Atlantic Ocean crashing you will get served and checked on like you are the only person in the restaurant. You can tell that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. Don’t forget to try their delicious desserts and after dinner drinks. The chocolate lava cake is a must! If you are in Bermuda and looking for somewhere to have a memorable dinning experience, look no farther. Cafe Lido will not disappoint.

We've enjoyed several visits to Lido recently and each has been wonderful - pasta, sushi, steak, specials, desserts - everything was deliciously fabulous. I agree with another recent review that the chefs have put great thought into their ingredients and flavour combinations and skill into the execution. The results are delivered with care and enthusiasm by the excellent waiting team (thanks to Jefferson, Alfonso, Leslie, Jasmin, Bame, Aldrin, Kimberley, Giovanni and all the team 👍👍). Special highlights for us were the sushi, rib eye special and torta caprese. They also make, by far, the best french fries on the islands. Oh, and the risottos are creative and delicious... Stilton and celery leaves?! Crazy but wow! I'm just sad we won't get to go again as the Cafe is closing at the end of the year (Dec 2025) so don't miss out and make time to visit before then. Great job guys.
