So last week we were visiting with my wife, kid, and two friends. It was around 20:20. We ordered salads, drinks, pasta carbonara, my friend ordered sushi combo, and my kid ordered just regular sushi. The pasta was sour, i am not recommending at all, and all orders came but the sushi of my kid and friend. Around 21:20 we asked if the sushi will be ready soon and the waitress said: the bar is busy bit it will be ready soon. We waited 30-40 min more as my wife had a talk with the manager that is a total no-no to have a kid on a table and leave it hungry! The manager said that it is their fault (he gave no options to compensate us) and that the sushi will be done in 3-4 min. I felt like i was back in the 90s with terrible service habits of the restaurants back then at the most places… the manager said that we were supposed to know that they are so busy (in the mean time at least 5-6 sushi dishes were passed next to us for home taking) as the waitress was supposed to tell us that during the order. To be honest we were only trying to have dinner with our friends and no-one wanted to make a scene. The service and the way of handling the situation on part of the management killed our good impression of Martini Bar and it will be never the same again.
Nowhere in the world good restaurant will leave a kid hungry.
The sushis came a bit after 22:00. We were all totally disappointed. I personally had stomachaches after...
Read moreSo I have to be honest here - but it is my personal experience and subjective view of everything’s that happened.
We were 6 people and made a big order. In conclusion all of us didnt like the food but we did liked the cocktails. We ordered calamari and they were dry and not crispy at all. We mentioned it to the witters and she went to the chef and came back saying he said it’s ok by the chef, without trying to understand what we didn’t like (and even though we made a big order). We tried 3 different combos (philadelphia, veggie and another one that i dont rememebr it had a wierd name) and none were good. I tried the healthy sushi ans another roll ans we didnt like it. The avocado was not fresh and was not even ready (was hard to eat)
The invoices all come in Bulgarian which is hard to understand 🥺
The atmosphere was good but we saw that not a lot of people ordered food. We sat above in the terrace, the music was in Bulgarian but we liked it.
I would recommend this place for drinks only and not to eat. (Even rhe adamame that we ordered was small and not hot, the arnenchini was the only starter...
Read moreThis is a very cosy and surprisingly hidden place, far from the crowded turistic city center. Gave four stars because of the food. The drinks are about 4.5 stars, same with the overall atmosphere and the staff, who is somehow very stiff with foreigners, imo. It's especially a nice place to go in the evening, after the sunset. The signature cocktails look really special, some of them not only in the menu but also in real life. On the food side, the sushi seems very apetizing, but the burger, the chips potatos acompanying it, and some eggplant meal were very oily, so maybe you should choose the hipster part of the food menu. One thing which is surprising for a marketer eye is that their website doesn't reflect at all the spirit of this food bar, which is very special. A redesign of the website can do great service to the physical place, unless the owner don't want to keep it hidden behind an...
