Harvest Clean Eats (Amherst) — Restaurant in Amherst

Big yikes for the lack of training/decision making in leaving one staff alone who clearly hasn’t learned the menu yet. We went in for lunch today and there were two other people in the restaurant waiting for their order. We looked at the menu and placed our order, which was two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. I asked for the bacon to be on the side for mine, which confused the employee and led to needing much clarification on the number of sandwiches and what I wanted on the side (she asked if I wanted everything on the side??). Then the wait began. We were mistakenly called up to receive someone else’s food, I looked in the bag and realized it wasn’t ours. It was the lady’s who had been waiting since we came in and it was not even what she ordered. This was about 15 minutes after we ordered. So the employee went back to fix their order. After a while, she finally started making our sandwiches. It seemed like it was her first time making them as she kept having to refer to either our receipt or a recipe to make them. She also came out to ask if we were order #2 and #3 but we were only #3 and she said she was confused.

We received our order at 1:48pm and had ordered at 1:18pm. 30 mins is too long to wait for two very simple sandwiches. The quality/taste was very disappointing as well. I do not blame the employee, she was friendly and trying her best but she should not have been alone.

If you are tired of burger and fries and want something healthier this is a good spot to try. I found it a bit expensive though $16+ menu price for a sandwich ($23 doordash with tip). It would be nice to maybe have a combo of sorts for that price but i knew that prior to ordering so thats on me. The reason service is 3 stars is because the night before i tried ordering it on uber eats, eta 30 minutes. After 1.5 hours and 2 phone calls they cancelled my order and i was refunded by then they were closed. No one reached out from the restaurant and tried to rectify the situation i had to call them otherwise who knows. I was informed uber eats was new to the area and doordash was more established and a delivery driver had not shown up to get it by which point they were close no supper for me. Chicken advocado haunted my dreams that night so the next day i ordered it and managed to get it via doordash. Everything on the sandwich was great especially the chicken. I expected a large sandwich but it was a normal size home made type sandwich which is a bit small at that price. I wouldnt have it delivered again but i would deem it worth it to go in and eat maybe they have combos or better priced items. Ive since got groceries and have the ingredients to make 8 of the same sandwiches for same price however my chicken will not be as good as theirs. All in all...

Ordered the plant based wagu bowl. There were four of us and I was the first to order, but some how the person taking the order missed it. I sat waiting with my crew. Watched everyone get theirs and then realized mine wasn’t coming. I asked where mine was and the lady said that I didn’t order it and needed to pay for it if I wanted it. I obliged as I know things can get mixed up, but was a bit annoyed at having to redo the process and make my family then wait for me to be done eating after they had already started and were almost done. The atmosphere was plain, but better than subway. Very bright. Nothing super outstanding though. There was on staff that was on it. She seems to have been the one in charge or atleast a senior staff.
