My recent visit to Pho 478 left me underwhelmed. The initial emptiness of the restaurant should have been a warning sign, but we decided to give it a try.

Our "fresh" spring rolls were anything but. They arrived cold, clearly pre-made and refrigerated, with noticeably wilted produce inside. The only saving grace was the excellent peanut sauce.

My small pho (Order #10) was particularly disappointing. Despite listing several meat items, it contained very little protein, consisting almost entirely of noodles and broth. The portion size itself was also concerningly small, roughly two-thirds the size of a standard "small" bowl at other pho places. While the broth and noodles tasted good, the meager amount of ingredients made for a barely satisfying meal.

I'm genuinely puzzled by the high online ratings for this establishment; they feel deceptive given the poor quality and small portions I experienced. The presence of numerous signs indicating extra charges for basic items like takeout containers were weird.

While the staff seemed nice, I sadly can't recommend Pho 478 unless they significantly improve their portion sizes and commitment to genuinely fresh...

New Pho resto in my hood run by a very friendly Vietnamese family. Traditional dark wood decor with comfortable banquet seating. Service was quick, food was well prepared, flavourful and reasonably priced for the generous portions.

Pho broth was clear and clean tasting with the hints of the aromatics if a touch on the sweet side. Good balance of meat to noodle. Rice dish had a well cooked pork chop and egg was perfectly fried with soft yolk and nice fried scallion garnish.

They brought good sized extra bowls, plates and cutlery as we were sharing and were very helpful. Condiments and cutlery were well organized on the table with little sauce dishes included. Jasmine tea was included and came out at the right temperature, not scalding hot.

Only comment is they could offer more toppings and sauce. One lime slice and a tiny bowl of Nuoc Mam sauce was insufficient and they could ask if you need more inorder to save waste. Pho toppings could include traditional sawleaf herb and red Chilis but that's extra and most...

Wife and I just picked up lunch to go from this place. Ordering over the phone was fast and friendly, and the food was packaged nicely and the serving sizes were generous given the price (more than adequate lunch portions, large fresh rolls). As a restauranteur my tastebuds maybe more refined than the general population, but I found flavour of most of the food very unbalanced. The hot and sour soup was so sour from excess vinegar you couldn't taste anything else. The Pad Thai was also very sour and had a overpowering taste of ketchup. The red curry my wife ordered was ok (could be better though), and the fresh rolls were moist, but the dip was also too vinegary and could use rebalancing.

The place is cheaper than the nearby Thai restaurants and they give you good value for the price they charge so if you are looking for affordability this place is for you, personally unless they improve the flavour of their food I would recommend you try some of the other Thai restaurants in...

We saw the rating is high on Google, so we gave it a try and this is good as expected. First thing first, the staffs are friendly and welcoming. The options are various , so we picked pho(s), shrimp spring rolls and fire shrimp roll. The chef told us that the bone soup made of 14 hrs, so definitely *no MSG added. All the dishes we ordered are taste wonderful and satisfying. The presentation of the dishes were nicely placed, too. This place is roomy and you may sit comfortably with distance to each table. One thing that not many ppl noticed, but I personally care very much. The staffs at kitchen wear hair net to work for sanitization reason and this is way deserved more than 5 stars in such small business. I'm not living closed by, I'll definitely spread out the word to my friends and come back.

Best authentic, Viet style pho in aurora. The key to a good pho broth is it's clearness. True Viet style pho broth is infused with spices and herbs to produce a deeply flavorful, aromatic while retaining almost translucent, water like colors. There's also a subtle sweetness. This is it! Other Viet phos in aurora are more "fusion" Chinese styles, wherein it emphasizes large portions served with msg soup. Nothing wrong with it, just a different style. As with any family owned business, cash is king. Please refrain from using credit cards, as it costs the restaurant up to 4% per transaction. Margins are already thin, so every little bit helps 🙂

This place is absolutely fantastic! The cleanliness and neatness of the restaurant are immediately noticeable, and the authentic furniture adds to the charm. We started with spring rolls and fried shrimp as appetizers, both of which were wonderful. For our main course, we had two different kinds of pho, and they were both very, very good as well. They serve their drinks in tall glass cups and the cup itself is very neat and clean without any bad smell. The servers are exceptionally nice, and the chef even comes by to greet guests. Plus, there's a huge parking lot, which is always a bonus. Definitely give it a try – you won't be disappointed!
