Vishnu's Doubles & Roti Shop — Restaurant in Brampton

Hello foodies today I bring you a pretty amazing review of this fabulous trinidadian restaurant and takeout place.

My neighbor being trini suggested I had to try this place for roti ,so today I decided to drop in and grab thier curry goat roti and oh boy was it fire!  I am white so I am no roti expert only having had it on a few prior ocasions but I know good food when I taste it , and this roti was delicious.

Food 5/5 the curry goat roti was a mouthful of flavouful explosions let me tell you ..this goat was not only melt in your mouth tender but loaded with so much incredible trini species coming at you from every angle just so dam good. I opted for medium pepper and it was just the perfect heat level complementing the goat and roti. The portion was huge so much meat like 90% meat no fillers , ya it had some potatoe but it was loaded with juicy goat meat , the curry flavor was strong but yet insanely good. A very filling portion size for anyone they dont skimp out on all that meat filling ..the roti itself was also amazing in itself .

Service 5/5 owner who served me was super nice took out the time to explain my options and very friendly, great service food came out piping hot ...really recomend this place if your looking for that spicey...

I used to come to this place in high-school to get doubles which were $1 back in 2012-2016 at least for students . A few days ago I ordered a small jerk chicken dinner ;had to wait longer than expected and when I finally got my order and opened it , it smelled so weird almost as if it were on the verge of spoiling the meat literally smelled like it had been cooked days ago. I was going to say something but decided to go home and try it before making any complaints . The chicken was dry, very chewy,& tasted stale and had a weird aftertaste like the meat was old or something .It wasn’t real jerk chicken at all as it hardly had any flavour . The rice and peas it came with had no flavour and seemed to lack salt . Lastly I ended up FINDING A HAIR in my food entangled with a cluster of rice. I ended up THROWING THE FOOD AWAY. The service also wasn’t good so I’m confused when people say the customer service is good. Maybe it depends on who you are but the male owner wasn’t very polite or nice when I asked for a fork for my doubles (they can get messy) he seemed annoyed . Also the doubles have gotten smaller in size over the years and I even noticed some dead flies on...

Drove all the way from Markham to try this place, and I was unfortunately quite disappointed. For starters, what is going on with your washroom? It's filthy. Why do you have a vacuum stored in the middle of the floor? Having no soap is another major issue - do better! The food was a pass, simply because you got the ingredients right. I could hear the microwave, which tells me everything was being heated up and nothing was fresh. The goat was really tender but lacked flavour. The doubles were good, except it was microwaved. The poor girl working there was by herself. Super polite, but not the best at understanding unfortunately. I don't mean to rip on you, but clean your tables and make your washroom presentable. I'm opting not to post pics as I really don't want to show that to everyone Just do better. I believe in you guys, but just calling it...
