Wilmie's You Bar and Grill in Cold Lake offers a delightful fusion of Asian-Canadian cuisine, expertly curated by a Filipino owner. My friend and I recently had the pleasure of dining there, and our experience was truly exceptional. From the moment we stepped in, the warm and attentive service caught our attention.
The menu featured a range of enticing options, and we decided to try the sinigang na hipon, letchon kawali, and inihaw na baboy. The sinigang na hipon's tangy and savory broth paired perfectly with the succulent shrimp, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The letchon kawali was a crispy delight, with its perfectly cooked pork belly and a satisfying crunch that left us craving more. The inihaw na baboy showcased the restaurant's mastery of grilling, delivering a tender and flavorful dish that truly impressed our taste buds.
One of the standout aspects of our dining experience was the portion sizes. The servings were impressively generous, ensuring that we left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied. What's even more remarkable is that Wilmie's manages to offer these substantial portions without breaking the bank. The affordability of the dishes is truly a testament to their commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience that's accessible to all.
Beyond the delectable food, the staff's attentive and friendly service added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. Their willingness to accommodate our requests and provide recommendations further enhanced the overall experience.
In conclusion, Wilmie's You Bar and Grill is a hidden gem in Cold Lake, offering a unique blend of Asian-Canadian cuisine with Filipino flair. With a welcoming ambiance, excellent service, generous portions, and budget-friendly pricing, it's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable culinary adventure. Read moreThis is my first time trying their food and it was all amazing, I brought my boss ( He is Canadian and respective member of the Council and tried first time the lechon kawali and springrolls and He loved it very much (kudos to the chef) Jessica who also assisted us first hand was very accomodating and approached us from time to time to see if we are comfortable and enjoying the food as she passed by our table. I even brought take out for my snack and lunch the next day. (Meaning, I love their food so much 🫠)
The restaurant space is wide and very much appropriate, it has a nice ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. A typical set up for huge gathering, weddings, birthday parties, sports events like pool and darts, karaoke night, live bands and my favorite of course which was shocking is ZUMBA. I love zumba, I myself is leading zumba group from my old town, and hopefully soon, we can make some classes their regularly for all gender, age, and race. Too bad, I will not gonna be there by September 30 (Zumba night) But moving forward I would love to see them and soon experience again this amazing place with delicious food, superb service, and homy atmosphere. Kudos to all. You all deserve a big tap on the back for a very much Job well done. See you all again in October. I Wilmie's...
