Best hidden gem of Edmonton!
The food was nothing short of perfect, with the quality and quantity being what I expect for the price (the same cannot be said about the majority of restaurants today). I appreciate they can adjust the spice level to suite the customer's preference; perhaps they could even add a spice scale to their menu. The soup comes in a small bowl, but know you can have refills (they just like to minimize waste, which I also appreciate). The flavours in the food are complex, allowing you to savour each bite.
The dining area was quiet, not bombarded by screens everywhere (thank you!), and the atmosphere was relaxed. They play what sounds like bhajans softly for ambiance, which I will gladly take over the muzak preferred by many other dining establishments. It is not pretentious by any means, and that only adds to my appreciation of this place.
The service was excellent and we did not have to wait a long time for our food. Gluten Free items are all clearly indicated on the menu (as well as vegan), which is very much appreciated. I presume the Owner was the one serving us, and he is very professional, kind, helpful, and non-assuming.
I have dined at many Indian restaurants, and so far Suvera has crushed the competition simply by focusing on the quality of their food. I will be back, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter a long time I am thrilled and excited to write about a South Indian Restaurant which gave us a feeling of 100% authentic.
The food was brilliant, we have been to a lot of Indian restaurants in the Edmonton region, however there was a lack of Tamil Nadu based foods. So we tried Suvera, and we were amazed by the authentic taste of Tamil Nadu.
We ordered Chicken 65 Biryani and Chili Chicken, both were absolutely stunning. We recommend North Indian people to give it a try here. This Biryani, is absolutely flavourful.
Try Chicken 65 here, you won't be disappointed. šÆšš
The Chef Mr. Raj Sekar stopped by our table and he was very pleasant and cared about what we as a customer felt and asked for our feedback. We told him it was delicious š and we were waiting for one such restaurant for a very long time.
The staff were friendly and approachable.
Price - there are many restaurants calling themselves premium and charge a premium price while food is not on par. But Suvera's price is positioned in an affordable category while the food they serve is of premium quality. Trust me, the pricing is affordable.
Overall, I will rate this restaurant 5/5. Kudos to Suvera Restaurant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can confidently say this is some of the best South Indian cuisine Iāve ever had.
Every dish bursts with vibrant, perfectly balanced flavors, and just the right amount of spice to keep things exciting without overpowering.
On my first visit, I tried the chicken curry and butter chicken paired with garlic naan and coconut rice. Each bite was an absolute delight. I was so impressed that I returned the very next day with a friend to share the experienceāand it did not disappoint.
The staff here are outstandingāwarm, attentive, and perfectly timed in checking on us. They ensured everything was to our satisfaction and that our drinks were always topped up. Their hospitality elevated the experience even further.
Iād wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. The owner, Raj, is not only incredibly skilled but also highly knowledgeable, with a background in food sciences that truly shines in the care and quality of every dish.
This place is a hidden gem and fully deserving of 5 stars. Thank you, Raj, and the entire team for an amazing culinary experienceāI canāt...
