I want to like Far East.
I love east-Asian cuisine. I really do, especially the local mom-and-pop operations you see frequently here in Halifax. I've been to a great number of the various east-Asian restaurants in the city, so I like to think I know the type of food that Far East serves and what makes these things tick. And to be fair, Far East has a good quality: The meat in their dishes is superb, especially their egg rolls. But other than that? The food here is bland. Very bland. The food needs much more flavour. Even a touch of salt on the noodles would be a plus. And I think a little bit of hand sanitizer was accidentally squirted into my last meal here. I wish I could say otherwise, as I love supporting local, rather than the franchise restaurants you often see in the food court. But sadly I cannot in good faith recommend Far East as it is...
