Was very excited to hear this location was opening back up. I stopped by on my break to get a bagel and received kind service from the two men working the cash. When I went to open what I had purchased, the contents did not match the photo or the description of the item displayed and looked as though it had been roughly handled by whoever had prepared it (torn apart in the wrong places etc.) I didn’t want to cause any issues by any means but as I had paid for bacon and did not receive more than three or four bits, I headed back around the corner to ask if I could have the full serving indicated on the menu. I was immediately met with an unexpected hostility from the older woman working in the kitchen who rolled her eyes at me and insisted that the very clear lack of bacon was much more than I thought it was. Though I had already smiled and explained I wasn’t mad, her tone grew increasingly more disrespectful as she reiterated to me at least three times that I was asking for extra and that the few bits she had mixed into the egg were a full serving despite the clear lack of resemblance to the photo of the same item displayed. When I eventually received my order she attempted to guilt me again for asking for the adjustment and then cut me off and ran into the back as though she simply wanted to have the last word in an argument that I had no interest in being a part of. I was very upset with the service I received and left the kiosk feeling extremely uncomfortable and disrespected. I was not hostile towards this woman at all or any of the employees and while the others were all kind and apologetic, she was very rude with me when she was simply asked to fix a mistake she made and made it clear that she felt I was wasting her time. I do not expect top of the line service by any means and understand that everyone is human but it is especially important to be kind and mature in a work environment that deals with tired and overworked health care providers and sick patients. I do not feel comfortable returning to this location after this encounter and hope that management may address what is an appropriate way to communicate and deal with customers so that others do not receive treatment like this...
Read moreMy wife (then girlfriend) use to work mostly on the 2nd floor one in front of the library and only sometimes downstairs at the main one in 2009 to 2011. She would always bring home the most amazing coffee and teas! I was very much coffee is coffee, no amount of sugar or fancy additives can make it better. Well since she worked there call me a fancy snob for coffee cause everything she brought home was amazing and I could never go back! Me and my now wife went there yesterday for nostalgic purposes and sadly found out that the store she worked at (the one in front of the library) is gone?! The library got greedy and consumed the whole store. Which doesn’t make sense to me. The one downstairs doesn’t have any real seating. As for the one in front of the library they had seating. The students could easily pop in while on a study break in the library and fuel up on copious amount of caffeine or food. The tables were there so they could buy coffee and sit around to study. So I don’t understand the reasoning there All in all this Williams in particular (the one downstairs or the forgotten one upstairs) always had the best drinks and food. Plus the service was...
