Ok so here is my take on this place and I’m also going to base it on the geographical location as well. As someone coming from Vancouver and Los Angelos I must keep my expectations realistic for Harrison Hot Springs. When I called to order take out, the young girl on the phone didn’t speak good English at all. And every time she didn’t understand me, she kept saying “what?”. Now to those of us who speak correct English, know this is rude to say but knowing she had poor English I gave her a break whereas if it was a person who spoke proper English I would have thought it was very rude. I was staying at the Harrison Hotel (right next door) and asked her how far away it was and she told me she didn’t understand nor know. I think she could in actual fact lose business doing the phones and it may be in the company’s best interest to get a proper English speaking person on the phone because she was having a lot of difficulty navigating my order. They do take out but did’nt have a website with a menu so when I mentioned items they had 2/3 of the items I wanted. She did say however they opened 2 months ago and they don’t have a website yet so I’ll cut them some slack. We had a large $200 order and the average dish is $10. Reasonably priced. They whipped it together in 40 min for pick up. My husband said it was a young girl in her 20’s working alone at 3pm so she had to call her mom to come in and help with the order because more staff doesn’t come on till 4pm. We pick up the food. The naan wasn’t authentic at all. It was heavy and greasy and fried in a pan. I didn’t eat it. The Bryanni rice was mushy and appeared a day old and I did not eat it either. Way over cooked. Prawn curry: average: No wow factor Ali Gobi: pretty good Butter chicken: good Chana massalla: good Naan: not authentic fried in greasy pan Veggie byrani: overcooked or old and mushy If we could give half stars I’d do a 3 1/2 star but they’re a new business and I cut them slack for trying hard, the English barrier, and fast service and cheap prices. Would I return? Yes. Compared to other restaurants in Harrison they’re better than most so I’d say give them a try.
