About Anokhi: What a wonderful place, wonderful servers, one just needs to be patient as food takes about 15-25 minutes to arrive after the order but that's a sign that food is being made fresh. So, the wait is going to be worth it. They recently got renovated and reopened.. an amazing renovation and the aura of this place, the people who work here is a bit distant from the rest. You enter here a smiling face will greet you and will lead you to your table, why I'm mentioning this because that makes you feel happy, welcoming and warm. It plays a huge part because you feel comfortable there. I didn't like the music that day. It was like a dancing kind of pop and it was loud and didn't match the aura of the place. It should be #peaceful or romantic or soulful as they represent it and used to be. About food now: #Honest review ****Appetizers** *Creamy chaap...amazing presentation and will make you lick the fingertips...yummy.. #5/5 * Panner Tikka.. tbh wasn't good at all. 0/5 * Chicken (TANDOORI)...wow superb. Whoever Respected 👩🍳 👨🍳 chef made this, did a wonderful job #5/5. Loved it. ***Main course: *Butter naan: soft and crisper at the same time. Enhance the taste of everything. We tried with the Allu Gobhi sabzi. #5/5. *Allu gobhi: crispy, spicy, tasty. Had tomatoes in it, they didn't seem cooked at all or maybe slight. Didn't like those tomatoes. Otherwise, it was good. #4/5 *Malai mushrooms masala: never tried this ever there. So a bit worried about taste as it's $$ and it all went wrong...mushrooms seemed undercooked ...so we didn't touch it after one tasting spoon. Not worthy of spending money on it at all. regret on this one for spending $$'s of course. #0/5 *Rice with raita: Onions the fried one, cumin seeds...delicious...I eat this all the time there. #5/5 *Raita with veggies in it, super yummy. Raise the taste 100 times of everything. #5/5 *****Lastly the sweet dish... *Gulab jamun: I said specifically, I want the hot ones ...but they were not hot at all...they had only one server doing 4 tables ...she was busy. So I'm not gonna blame her for this. The taste didn't feel as it feels when it's hot and warm..yummy ..missed that one. So 0/5 Must go and visit it. Explore your taste, this place has a lot to offer so try new things... you will love it.

An absolutely fabulous restaurant! A real gem. I almost did not want to post a review so that I could keep it all to myself but judging from the majority of reviewers I’m not the only one who has been blown away and the secret is out! First of all, we’ve been very lucky to be served by a server/host named Navvi, several times. She is always friendly, attentive, smiling and makes the dining experience feel special. After our first time visiting, she remembered our party and our fav meals too! I think this place is really lucky to have her…she goes the extra mile every time. The ambiance is chic and comfortable. And the food….oh the food… no really… oh the food…each time we go it is cooked to perfection, for example - the lamb is juicy and tender… like butter melting in your mouth with each bite… and sooo fragrant and flavorful… the combination of spices. Mmmmmm your taste buds will thank you! I’m serious … delicious! We’ve met the Chef - he definitely cares about the quality and presentation of his dishes and the satisfaction of his customers. Each time we have visited, I feel like I’m rolling out of this place because I have always eaten too much …. you know…just one more bite! You just want to savor every moment. As such, I found the pace of service perfect, after all I go out to relax and unwind and not to rush through the process and I certainly don’t want the Chef to rush through the prep of my meal. Your dish will not be the pre-cooked, re-heated meal, so yes, depending on what you order you may wait a tiny bit longer but trust me, it’s worth it. If you are in a hurry, I’m certain they’d look after you. The other servers and waiters are also fantastic, often taking turns checking in on you. As for the price point, I personally think it’s a steal deal. Prices are close to the average ‘run of the mill franchise’ but you receive way better quality of food, service and ambiance. If you are weary to venture out due to Covid, you will find this restaurant offers wide open spaces, 20+ foot ceilings, it’s huge and not crowded and it also has a patio option. Perfect place to enjoy a nice relaxing eve out, comfortably. I used to dine out for business all over the world at some of the finest restaurants- trust me this place is a true gem.

Really hoped that it would be better. They have everything, an amazing location, great ambiance, awesome staff and all kinds of seating from Patio to sofa booths to banquet hall. However, they lack good food plus the prices are high. They can do much better with the quality of food. We tried Amritsari Fish, Malai Chicken and Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan and Achari Paratha. We also had to order onion and green chilli salad separately. The Butter Chicken was probably the best item out of all. The quality of chicken was good and the quantity was sufficient for more than 2 people. The garlic naan was good and Achari Paratha was paratha with a layer of achar sauce on it. The Amritsari Fish disappointed us the most, it didn't have any spices, very bland and it was served with just ketchup and mayonnaise without any freshly prepared sauce. The Malai Chicken was definitely better than Amritsari Fish and we really liked it. The gravy was well prepared and the quality of chicken was soft and tender. Overall, very disappointed with the Amritsari Fish, the Malai Chicken and Butter Chicken were the only 2 items that were good and garlic naan. Other concerns include - no serving spoon or serving cutlery was provided with any of the staters. We had to ask them to provide it. There was a fly which was going around on our table. Among other items - they have ample parking spaces, handicapped accessible entrance which only works from the outside and not inside, they are very spacious. The washrooms are on the lower floor and are very clean. We are now waiting for their buffet to open so that we can try other items on their menu.

Absolutely! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I had the most incredible dining experience at Anokhi, all thanks to the outstanding service provided by Mannat! From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Mannat's warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel right at home. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive, and she expertly guided me through the array of delicious Indian dishes, making sure to cater to my preferences. Throughout the meal, Mannat's attentiveness and genuine care for our dining experience were evident. She ensured our glasses were never empty and regularly checked on us to guarantee everything was to our satisfaction. Her recommendations were spot-on, and we ended up trying dishes we wouldn't have discovered on our own. Not only was Mannat an excellent server, but she also displayed an impressive understanding of Indian cuisine and culture. She was more than willing to share the background of each dish, making our dining experience not just enjoyable but educational as well. The seamless flow of service and the delightful atmosphere at Anokhi, enhanced by Mannat's grace and professionalism, truly made it an unforgettable evening. Without a doubt, I'll be returning soon, and it will be, in large part, because of the exceptional service provided by Mannat. If you're looking for an authentic Indian culinary experience with top-notch service, I highly recommend visiting Anokhi and asking for Mannat. You won't be disappointed! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Anokhi is simply an absolutely amazing restaurant which I will certainly revisit over and over again! Although the food is a bit overpriced, it is very delicious! We ordered Dal Anokhi, Kubhani Kofta, Onion Kulcha, and Laccha Paratha. We also ordered a Mango Lassi, Lemon Ginger Beer (non alcoholic), and Strawberry Mojito Mocktail. Everything tasted very fresh and of high quality. The Dal Anokhi was so creamy, and the Kubhani Kofta was the star! The Kubhani Kofta tasted so scrumptious, but I wish there were more Koftas (there were only 3-4 small pieces). The Laccha Paratha, though pretty expensive, was one of the best I’ve ever tasted! The drinks were overall pretty good. The Mango Lassi wasn’t very sweet, but the Strawberry Mojito Mocktail was amazing! The ambience is lovely, and the restaurant is so beautifully decorated and laid out. It is nice and spacious, including the restrooms. The restaurant is also clean, including the cutlery and dishes. The bathrooms are definitely cleaner and much better than any other I’ve seen before! The service is very friendly, and they always tended to our needs! The food was brought fairly quickly, and served fresh and hot. In conclusion, I definitely recommend Anokhi to anyone looking for truly great food and service for a slightly costlier price.

We tried Anokhi restaurant (Kitchener) with my family and friends. We chose Dine -in because it was one of my friend's mom's birthday. The food was nice but my overall experience with family wasn't that good. We ordered starters/appetizers and it took them half an hour or more to bring the appetizers. The appetizers we ordered were: "Dahi Kabab, Tiranga Paneer Tikka, Kachori chaat". Then we ordered the *main course* which was: "Garlic Naan, Amritsari Kulcha, Kariwali Bhindi, Paneer Tikka Masala, Anokhi Daal & Jeera Rice". It took 1 hour or more for Anokhi to serve us the main course. Also the food here is crazy expensive. The temperature inside the restaurant was freezing. We asked them twice if they could increase the temperature because we all were feeling cold but they kept saying that they will adjust the temperature but actually they didn't increase the temperature. It was all in all 2:30 to 3 hours wasted. Not going to visit this place again. No wonder the restaurant was full because the orders were taking too long to come to the table. Would not recommend this restaurant. If someone is patient enough to wait for food for hours then it is the place for them. Good luck!
