P.S- update on the reply from owner. We do have all the proofs with pictures provided to you for previous orders for which you accepted it was your mistake. If you had problem you could have denied it previously. Also being a local restaurant we came to you directly regarding the issue for which you also again agreed it happened cause of your mistake. So dont assume if someone is having financial issues and want to get free food. There are FoodBanks for free food. So instead increase the quality and start accepting your mistakes. Whatever you are is because of your customers. So have some sense and if anyone critize your service have guts to accept it and improve yourself. . I had an awful experience with this restaurant and their customer service. I ordered two biryanis through Uber Eats around 10:30 PM. When they arrived, they had a strange, rancid smell, and the rice was sticky and staleâcompletely inedible. I was shocked that a restaurant would serve food like this.
Instead of reporting to Uber Eats right away, I decided to visit the restaurant the next day first thing in morning to inform the owner discreetly, hoping to prevent similar issues for others. However, when I showed her the food, she claimed it wasnât theirs and suggested I had mishandled it. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the problem, just a promise that I would receive a refund through Uber Eats.
After a few days, I checked with Uber Eats and learned they hadnât received any refund from the restaurant. I called the restaurant, and the staff said they would talk to the owner. After multiple calls, one employee finally said a refund was sent to Uber Eats, but when I asked for confirmation, I was left on hold and then disconnected.
I continued to call, but the staff avoided addressing my concerns and eventually blocked my number. When I tried from my husbandâs and sisterâs phones, I faced the same treatment, including disconnections and finally even blocking their numbers and still i am left with no refund neither any compensation or any acknowledgement.
Itâs been two to three weeks since the incident. I felt compelled to report it because both biryanis were stale and smelled terrible. Spending hard-earned money on such poor quality food is unacceptable. I will not recommend this restaurant due to their unsanitary food and terrible customer service.
Avoid this place folks. I have my doubts about the 4 star rating this place have received. Pretty sure most reviews are fake and internally given reviews. Never coming back again to this place. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE...
Read moreCame here on 3rd July at around 10:30 pm to have come across the most obnoxious behaviour one can experience by the lady at the front. This was my second time here (the first experience already being a bad one) and judging by my own experience and the reviews, this place seems to have clung on to a paradigm of spitting on the face of its own customers.
So, I placed my order (2 portions of Tandoori Malai Chaap) at around 10pm and was told by the lady that it would take 20-25 mins to prepare. I arrived after the said duration, she charged us the money, goes in to check our order and returns back telling us that they are out of chaap, so she can offer us paneer instead. Firstly, she decides on her own what we may have. Secondly, it apparently was completely normal for them that they didn't even start preparing the meal until the customer's arrival, let alone letting the them immediately know that they are out of it. Having driven for over half and hour at a time when everything was already closing, I certainly was disappointed and let her know that. But instead of being apologetic and realizing that it is a mistake on their part, she starts arguing that it is not her fault as no one from the back told her about this. Really? Are you guys serious? You are the same restaurant and you are blaming each other for your lack of coordination? Then when I asked her about who she thinks should be held responsible she blames it on the chef. I realize she is not the kind of person you can easily communicate with and ask her to call the manager or the chef to which she replies that one isn't here and the other is busy and cannot attend. All she kept saying thereon was "What do you want me to do? It is not my fault".
And now about the experience I endured a few weeks ago. I ordered a chili chicken combo with a drink. They forgot to add the drink (didn't charge me though, only charged me for the food). However, I realized that only when I checked it in my car and so I returned, in like a few seconds. When I ask the lady for my drink she let's me know that there well be a 75 cent fee since the order is now less than $5. Again seriously????? I already paid for something which was way over $5 and you ask me to pay this fee because you forgot to add that item in the first place. It is not about the money, 75 cents is no big deal. But the lack of decency, respect and their attitude of taking no responsibility and blaming it all on each other, including the customer is simply appalling. They only have a big menu, lack in...
Read moreA Mediocre Mess: Pick N Move Restaurant's Pathetic Food Experience
My recent encounter with Pick N Move Restaurant, via an Uber Eats order in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, was nothing short of a culinary letdown. The overall experience left me questioning the competence of the kitchen and the lack of attention to detail in their dishes.
To begin, I opted for their touted Butter Chicken with Naan. While the taste was somewhat acceptable, the portion of chicken provided was miserably inadequate compared to the naan and rice. It felt as if they had skimped on the essential protein element, leaving me with a plate filled with unnecessary carbohydrates and an unbalanced meal.
Moving on to the Veg Manchurian, it was an absolute disaster. The dish arrived in a pool of water, drowning any hopes of a flavorful and well-cooked Manchurian. The consistency was watery, completely ruining the texture and rendering the taste utterly insipid. It was undoubtedly one of the worst renditions of this popular dish that I have ever encountered.
The disappointment continued with the Paneer Roll. The outer covering was disappointingly subpar, lacking any sort of freshness or appeal. It felt as if the roll had been prepared hours ago and had lost its taste and texture. The filling, while somewhat salvageable, failed to compensate for the lackluster exterior.
The Chole Bhature was another item that fell short of expectations. The portion of chole (chickpea curry) provided was significantly smaller than what one would expect, leaving me unsatisfied and craving for more. The imbalance between the bread and the accompanying curry was disheartening, to say the least.
Lastly, the Veg Biryani was yet another disappointing dish. It lacked the vibrant flavors and aromatic spices that are synonymous with a well-prepared biryani.
Overall, my experience with Pick N Move Restaurant was an underwhelming affair. From the uneven portion sizes to the watered-down dishes, it was evident that attention to detail and consistency were sorely lacking. If you're looking for a satisfying and well-executed meal, I would strongly recommend exploring other dining options...
